Aw, that sucks. When you've been counting down since 72, 4 extra little days can seem like an eternity.

12 more.

So i'm back in the states...and my HUSBAND ( i love saying that) will be here in 24 days!! he can only stay for 90 days...we are waiting for his visa...and i think its going to take forever....

Has anyone heard from Maid???

I have 93 days left. I'm counting down to January because I'm not sure the exact day in January I'll be going. It all depends on ticket prices, which can sometimes be cheaper on day than another. I'm thinking January 6th.

I just got back from seeing him 5 days ago. Seems like months ago though. The first time we saw each other he visited me for 10 days. Then 5 months later I visited him for 12 days. Then just 5 days ago it was for 23 days. Now, this time, the visit should be for a little over 2 months. I'm excited but still raw from just having gotten home from his home in Australia, so it's hard to be excited about the future visit when I'd rather jsut rewind to this past one.

Well if I book my flight for the day I'm planning, it's 70 days. So exactly 10 weeks!

I'm excited for ya. I'm also relieved to see that most people that have posted in this thread are waiting about the same about of time as me: between 70-90 something days.

Firstly, congratulations =]..

SECONDLY, I assume it's always been a long distance relationship? There was never a time at which you lived together?

Sorry, this is really straying from the topic, but if it HAS always been long distance, how did you meet?

My girlfriend is Dutch, I'm English, we're both 18. As of October last year we've been flying back and forth to see each other at least once a month, until the summer, in which we spent 2 months together. I took seeing her every month for granted and 2 weeks ago she left for Thailand, where she'll be doing volunteer work for 4 MONTHS. I was under the impression that when you get into a LDR you're supposed to work to increase the amount of time you spend together, by reducing the distance. Not by increasing it tenfold. I plan to fly out there for the last 3 weeks but it's going to be expensive. So I suppose it's anywhere between about 90 and 100 days for me.

He'll only be here for a few days, but he's bringing with him most of his belongings to his new house which is only an hour away  Sure beats 14! He has to go back home to return his dad's truck, he'll work for a couple more weeks. By the end of October, he'll be here permanently! :D

Yes it's always been long distance. No, we never have lived together. Actually him coming to the States this month for 3 months is the longest we will have been together at one time since we have been together.

Sorry, this is really straying from the topic, but if it HAS always been long distance, how did you meet?

We met online. First and only person I have ever met from online, and i'm the first person he has met. we started off just very friendly...and well now we are married!! I've been doing the long distance thing for about as long as you...we met in Oct 2007.

Well...I don't know what you two have talked about and desided. But my husband and I said from the start this is not something we can just let linger.....

if things aren't going well we call them off, and if they are going well, we need the "next step". I think you need that in a LDR, because if you don't have it, it makes it twice as hard as it always is. (you know you sit at home and think what now...where do we go from here, blah blah blah...)

Her moving farther away seems like a back step, although, she can't stop her life to wait for you. She has a life without you, just as I have a life without my husband when he's not here. You can't put everything on hold...just my thoughts.

ive got 89 days till I see my fiance (I think. close enough). And when I got home from visiting him a week ago it seemed like an eternity. its getting better though. we're used to seeing each other once every 5-6 months, and I know that's torture. I can't imagine being used to seeing him EVERY MONTH and then not seeing him for 4 months. that's gotta be hard. i imagine we'll be seeing our loves around the same time. so good luck to you! and i hope you two can talk alot and maybe webcam a few times?

he will be back in our hometown for good. In the middle of july he got a call from his lawyer that he managed to get his temporary green card, which was completely unexpected and out of the blue. 5 days later was the last time i saw him because he hopped on a plane and left to go back home in Europe to see his parents that he hasnt seen in 10 years. I just found out the other week that he will be home this month! So I am pretty lucky that out of the 2 years that we have been together, he has only been gone for 3 months, but last year I started college about 100 miles from our hometown, so I guess that is kinda LDR, althought I come home to visit him and my family every 2 weeks or so. I think i remember you saying that you have about 70 days or so until you can see your fiancee..how long will you guys get to see eachother?

I just got back from 8 incredible days with my woman in Montenegro. It was an incredible time together! It is so hard to come back to my life without her though, to wake up alone once again.

Our new countdown is 99 days until we meet in Paris, January 13.
