ReasonToChange
I'm sure we all have them. Little ways to better cope with any sort of issue we may have at the time. What are yours? I'll start. To clear my head takes three things. One CD, a half a tank of gas, and a pack of smokes. I go out and drive, each time doing my best to take a different road and see where it goes (a great perk about this is....in due time you get great at giving directions!). Slap on some of your favorite music and sing along. This works for me in two ways, it helps me forget my issue for the time being, or just drains the worry right out of me. Keep driving till you feel better. P.S- Smokes are optional (not in my case)
LuCidiTy
i drive too. and sometimes i close the windows and scream really loud. dancing helps. drinking does not.
AdrianaLima
I like to sit in a dark room with soothing music, not depressing music, but some upbeat songs. I also like to drive around town for a few hours.
Issues & tissues
I sing in a choir. I practice twice a week for 3 hours each time and this really does clear my head as well as gets rid of any unwanted stress.
flosslight
I go hiking or walk around the neighborhood. I just moved so it helps me learn the layout. I sometimes put music on and just dance around my living room. The best part about those activities is that they are all physical and it has also helped me to lose weight and get in shape. trulysomething
My whole mantra since my break up was to "replace negative thought (any of it!) with positive action." Today, I took in a little retail therapy, baked (always relaxes me) and went for a long walk. I also take a TON of photos and unfortunately, work on my dissertation.*ugh*
Meaplus3
A long brisk walk, ice skating, drawing and sometimes a nap. AP:)

sedgwick
I take it "bonghits" is not an appropriate answer to this question...ahem. So how about this: bellydance, yoga, and my cat. I rescued my big black boycat, the TRUE love of my life, from an alley where he had been abandoned when he was only hours old. The vet didn't think he would live, but I sat up for a full 24 hours with him just feeding him little drops of sugar water and holding him against me to keep him warm. He is five years old this week, and he's a reminder to me that at least sometimes, I do something right. Plus, he loooooooooves me like no creature ever has. eagle5
I take it "bonghits" is not an appropriate answer to this question...ahem. Hey who said it's wrong if it works for you? lol Gym definately, good music is a must, (some songs can send me the opposite way) so I keep it upbeat for now. Going out with friends and the occasional drink or two with said friends...
