Time always takes care of things. Meanwhile, stay busy, eat well, get plenty of rest and know there's a lot more to the world than some jerk ex boyfriend.

I've found it is best to find whatever you can to eat. While you are going through the denile and even depression stages of the break i noticed the last thing you want to do is eat. I felt like i was going to throw up all the time while i was going through it.

I found that if you can manage to eat something (there should be something you can keep down) you'll feel better and be able to deal with things in a more "healthier" manner.

Even now i know i'm hungry when i start having all those negative thoughts about myself and her. Then i stop and say "where is this coming from all of a sudden"? I notice then that my stomach is empty and it adds to whatever feelings of "stress" i am going through, which still is of course, my ex.

this will be the crappiest time of your life so far, but it can also be the best, because you've got the perfect excuse to find something out about yourself. Have you always wanted to try something, to do something, but hesitated because you didn't have the time, or you were too shy or thought maybe not now? Now is the time to go discover what makes you tick, what things can make your life improve or at least become a little more interesting. Join a reading group if you like to read; sign up for a scuba-diving or ballroom dance classes; take a cooking class; volunteer someplace in dire need of your help. It might not heal your heartache, but it'll help you discover some things about yourself that you didn't know (like you really do have a wonderful sense of rhythm or that you didn't realize Italian cooking could be even more satisfying than you thought) and it'll get you involved with other people. The only way to handle the grief of a broken relationship is to simple go through it, but who says you have to be miserable the whole time?

hope this helps,

Go out with your girlfriends and get wasted

I heartily agree. But just one night. Don't make a habit of it. But it sure is satisfying to have an ex-guy bashing night with your best friends! :p Then get on with your life and take a medical terminology course or become an expert underwater basket weaver or something. Most of all, keep your chin up.

P.S. Or you can start watching WWE wrestling and ogle the guy in my avatar.
