HouseOfCards
So weird story, and it starts in about the worst place possible: Craigslist. One night a few weeks ago I got bored and frustrated with the lack of girls who I considered "my type" at my college, and so on our town's local Craigslist I posted a semi-rant called "Cool Girls Of *******, Please Come Out Of Hiding". Pretty much just said that I wanted someone to confirm to me that all the smart, music-obsessed, cute artsy-fartsy girls in my town weren't just hiding from society so that no guys could meet them. I made some comment saying that I know they exist because I see them at my favorite concerts, with boyfriend in hand. Anyway, I get a response to this post from a girl asking what type of bands I was referring to, since I didn't elaborate in my post. I told her some of the bands I listen to, and she said she shared some of them in common. She said she was out of town for a few weeks, but that once she got back in town, she'd be interested in sharing music with me. Since I'm always up for new music, I said sure. I figured she meant via AIM or something. Today I finally talk to her on AIM and she asked me if I wanted to instead meet at a local coffee shop to "make it easier" to exchange music. She acknowledged that it probably sounded creepy considering we met via Craigslist, and we laughed about it, but I obliged, and now I'm meeting her at a coffee shop to "trade music" in two days. Is this girl really only interested in meeting up to exchange music, or did she kind of use it as an excuse for a first date? I don't really know how these things work, I'm afraid...
