The question is quite simply about online dating sites. This seems to be a fairly popular trend especially on the pay sites. Why in the world do women NOT show their pics? I hide nothing and have my pictures up for everyone to see. I even went as far on one site a long while ago to say not to contact me if no pics. The point I am getting at is that I hate being put on the spot and then when they show me the pictures, I am not even close to being interested. Makes me look like the bad guy when I didn't want to be. I am very picky for a reason!! I have been through a mess the last two years of my life and deserve the very best!! Thanks!!! Sarita12385 Posted May 30, 2008 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Well, you sort of answered your own question Many women who may not have high self esteem or might not feel "pretty" may be trying to find someone who actually likes them for them, not their looks, granted looks are what usually attracts two people in the first place, but c'mon...if you were in an "online relationship" with someone for months and never saw their picture, but talked online, on the phone, really had a good verbal connection, and you're really into him or her, would you really throw all that away if they didn't meet your physical standards? Everyone has their own shopping list of things they look for in a person, don't get me wrong here, but I'm sure the reason stated above may go for several women online who refuse to share their pic, OR - they're just not comfortable online in general. God only knows what loony bins surf those sites, the last thing anyone would want to do is put themselves in any sort of danger ya know? Link to post Share on other sites

I am engaged to a guy I met online...he was very happy with the pics AND the real deal, and vice versa..... happy days! Link to post Share on other sites

It's weird to enough to talk to a stranger- but even weirder if you don't know what they look like! I think that I have done that before, but I have even stated in my profile if you do not have pics posted please do not contact me. Which shows that some haven't read the profile and just looked at the picture. D-Lish, I am with you 100 percent!! Fair is fair!!!
