White Flower
I just read this on aol news. Is the do-gooder, knows right from wrong man in your face actually cheating on his wife and going through a divorce? Does this mean he has found his soul-mate? Or he wasn't getting his needs met at home? Or he and his wife just weren't right for each other? Or is it just tabloid gossip? All thoughts are welcome. Post away. http://news.aol.com/entertainment/story/rate-the-rumor/_a/rate-the-rumors-celebrity-headlines/20080125154209990001
OpenBook
You know WF, I thought about posting that exact same topic!!... but I couldn't figure out which forum to post it in!! I saw that story too. For such a full-blown story about such a close-to-home kind of thing, it seems to me the publisher is taking a huge risk (of getting the pants sued off 'em by Dr. Phil) in putting out that story. So I think there just might be something to it.

Art_Critic
nobody.. including Dr Phil is immune to marital problems, I'm sure he and his wife know that as they live their marriage each day.. Whether or not they are getting a divorce is just pure gossip at this point and until it happens then it just stays gossip.. After the whole Britney Spears debacle he has a target on his back from the tabloids.. He really showed his ass during that whole thing and hasn't made any friends from it... The velcro effect just does it for some women...

That is why I started the thread. Perhaps someone can verify it. But, it does allow us to bring someone with a known reputation of being a good guy who just might have found the right person for him even though his wife is a beautiful, kind, and loving woman. I don't know anything about the Britney Spears debacle. Can anyone post some links on it? Thank you.

grogster
It means taking delight in the misfortune of others. More narrowly, it usually applies when a Right-Wing ultra-moralist is caught with his pants down with a young boy in a public bathroom stall. Think comeuppance.

OWoman
They both had a way of communicating with the audience... And a thing for blondies. WF the Britney Spears thing was basically when they had her committed, after some particular whack thing she did (I think refusing to hand the kids over and locking herself in the bathroom or some such) Dr Phil was approached by Lynne Spears to chat with Britney to help her. Britney was already discharged and packing and clearly didn't want to talk to him, her doctors didn't want to work with him and he kinda pushed his way in, and then blabbed about it all over his show (so much for doctor-patient confidentiality) and promised some kind of "special" basically exploiting her and her family. Understandably, they pulled the plug. It was completely unethical and showed that he was no longer a shrink, but a showman.
LakesideDream
I saw the Enquirer today in line at the Supermarket (where I was being pummeled)... I didn't pay any attention to it... Now if the other woman was actually a Grey Alien.. I might have looked twice!

Woggle
Dr Phil is a quack anyway just like most of those tv doctors. The only one that seems to have any sense is Dr Drew.
Tony T
Dr. Phil is not getting a divorce. That story was tabloid garbage like so much other stuff. I simply can't believe this thread even got started. The story from AOL came from the tabloid section of that service. DUH!
