Will love fade or just memories ?

Hi everyone, I have a question for anyone who has recovered from a break up. Do you still love your ex or does love fade and disappear ? It has only been 2.5 months for me, but I still love her just as much as before. I don't think about her as much and I don't want to get back together but will I love her for a long time or will I always remember her but lose the feeling of love ? I have never been through this before and I hope never again.

Yes it does fade away... but sometimes you cannot 'forget' the person.. but the pain goes away... I am still friend with ALL my exes... but the love is gone.. only the friendship remains. it's all good.

The love has faded away in all of my prior relationships - 3 before this one.

 

My first heartbreak? I was convinced I could never, would never, love anyone the way I loved him. And maybe I was right, in a certain twisted way: I was obsessed with a totally unhealthy person. I think at a certain point, in fact, it ceased to be love - it was like a drug addiction, as others have sometimes described 'love'.

 

I loved my second boyfriend... but that has faded to indifference.

 

I loved my third boyfriend... but that has faded to a platonic love. He's the only one I've remained friends with.

 

I loved my fourth boyfriend - this current ex... and I have to believe it will fade. To what I'm not yet sure. But it will fade.
