Author Jazzman Posted July 15, 2008 Author Share Posted July 15, 2008 Well I stopped checking up on this thread because I realized how useless the advice is here. We've been talking on the phone for several hours almost every day for the past week now. In no time, we've gone back to being good friends, talking like we used to talk before we were in a relationship with each other. Only thing that's perplexing me now - I sent her a message in response to a blog she posted about two weeks ago, and it included (among other things) a detailed apology and explaination of how much i've come to understand WHY she broke up with me and that I don't blame her for the decisions she made. Even though we've been talking to each other regularly over these last few days, she's made no mention of that message and has yet to respond. If she doesn't respond within the next week or so I'll just come out and ask her point blank why she hasn't done so. I feel comfortable enough at this point to do so. I decided to go ahead and buy her a gift for her birthday - it no longer feels inappropriate like it would have several weeks ago. Overall, I really like the direction things have taken. I can honestly say at this point my feelings have cooled down - I still care about her deeply, but right now I just feel like we're good friends. And if the sparks are reignited then they will do so when it's meant to happen. As for now, I'm just enjoying her company and looking forward to the next time I can see her. _ Link to post Share on other sites
