Women better at picking the right one (comparing the Bachelor vs. Bachelorette)

Recommended Posts

Both of the Bachelorette shows have led to successful matches made by the Bachelorette, leading to marriage. The one's chosen by the Bachelors end before the show even finishes airing. The last couple - the British guy - he picked the dumbest lady I have ever seen on television.

They were on the special show that aired "after the final rose" for DeAnna, and you could easily see they were not in love, and she was bragging how he lets her remain friends with her guy friends and go out with them. She is so trashy, and there were no sparks between them, whereas the Bachelorette show just finished and they have already set a wedding date.

Do women look at better qualities that will last long in a relationship than men do? The British guy picked a cute blonde who is so air headed that he was making fun of her in every other comment but it didn't even phase her. I can't imagine he'd marry her. He kept repeating how he was taken by her when she first stepped out the limo and her hair was blowing in the wind, about the dress she was wearing and so on. Nothing about her personality which is so dull and dumb.

Jesse was short, dressed funny and was not as 'sophisticated' as the other men - definitely not tall dark and handsome either yet DeAnna picked him and they are very obviously in so much love. Men get suckered into the exterior qualities vs. women look on the inside as these shows clearly demonstrate - would you agree? The Bachelor always eliminates based on looks (it seems) but the Bachelorettes' choices are "surprising" because they let go of the muscle heads/bods and show-offs if they don't have the substance internally to back up their looks.

I'm not sure I'd be comfortable applying the results of a case study of two (attention grabbing TV hopefuls) to an entire sex.

It's several seasons of the Bachelor repeating the same pattern, plus both Bachelorettes having the same exact fate, so I don't think it's as random as you may think (and I wouldn't apply anything to an entire population, but to a significant extent).

Women, are more intellectual than men.

Women look for more quality than quantity, if you know what I mean. Personally, I would careless as long as they treated me right.
