Well, the only real love story I know is between my parents; although I'm still hoping for myself.

My parents are in their mid 60's and they have completely switched roles. She now works long hours, self-employed hair stylist and he is retired. He keeps the grandkids and she makes the money. He cleans and learned to cook. He always has a clean house and meal waiting for her when she gets home. It used to be the other way around, but now he prefers to putter around the house and she wants the thrill of making a good living.

I don't know about your parents, but mine definitely could have been more affectionate to each other then and now, as well as to their children. They had to work through their own shortcomings and upbringing, but I have never wondered if they loved each other; I always knew they did even after 45 years. They never went to bed mad at each other. At a little kid, I always heard them talking late at night telling each other about their day. My Dad's philosopy is you have to give and take. My Mom's is find everything on sale.

Peace and goodwill.

Lori :)

Several Years ago with I decided to leave my boyfriend we we're in a serious relationship to young and "playing house". SO I kissed him goodbuy and got an a greyhound bus back to FLA from PENN I was heart broken crying and torn thinking I made a huge mistake. I was in Marylin 3 hours later and I looked out the back window and he was following the bus. Waving and crying, I told the bus driver to stop the bus and got out and we kissed for about 20 minutes ( the bus left...with my bags..Anyways) He told me he couldn't watch me leave so he just kept following me. It was the most romantic thing I have ever heard so We wen't back to PA togeather and got married a couple months later and had a little boy. ( We're divorced now but still great friends) But that was the most romantic thing that ever happened to me.

I hope the little things count too.

My jonathan does cute little romantic things. Almost always surprises too.

One time i was getting fustrated at him, he was being silly when i wanted to be seriose for a moment, and i was getting to the point where i was about to tell him to take a flying leep. So i go. "you know what!?" and with out missing a beet, jon goes. "I know you love me, that's all i nead to make me happy." He totaly stole my thunder. I forgot what i wanted to say, and i plopped down on the bed. I'm sure i had a dumb smile on my face. He laughed, pulled my suporting arm out from under me so i fell down on to the bed. He says. "better watch out for that, there's gravity in this room." and we shared a nice snuggly kiss. I still have no clue why i was getting mad at him.

or one time i was checking out a shop i havn't seen in 7 years. It was going out of buisness and i wanted to say good bye to the owners. I new them. So jon and i wander the store. And after a moment of looking i decide i've seen all i could. I had spent a moment at the jewelry counter looking at the pendents and chatting up the store clerk about my dissapointment that the store was closeing. Jon too was looking at everthing i was. So he turns to me while i'm eye balling the crystal balls for the millianth time this life. and says. "ready to go?" I'm like sure i'm all set. He goes over to the back of the store, picks up a cute cow magnet for his mom. (she loves cows) and then he sets it down on the counter. (i'm still oogaling crystal balls) He goes, And i hear this not see it. "i'll take this, and that." And im like, and that? So i swing round, and jon is haveing the guy pull up this so cute smokey quartzs heart pendant. I was like @_@ omg. He bought me the pendant. It was so awesome. I wear it every day.

Ok, two cute stories. :bunny:

I have one that is the perfect example of true love. My Grandmother got Alzheimer's disease about 12 years ago and required a lot of care. My Grandfather was by her side through the whole thing. He always said he would never put her in a nursing home and he didn't. It got so bad the last few years that she was like a baby. She was bed ridden, and he had to do everything for her from changing her to feeding her. He took care of her for 12 years. She died Jan 2002 with my Grandfather and the whole family by her side. It was so sad to see him lose her. That to me is true Love! He spent 65 years with her and was with her all the way to the end. I think of him as an angel.
