Okay,

I've done a bit of research on my own friends, and noticed that out of the 15 people I know who I am close to, and who are married, 13 of them (the wives) had to pressure their husband for marriage. Maybe pressure is the wrong word to use, but it was generally the woman's idea first, and they had to give a bit of a push to their man to ask them to marry them.

Why is this the case, and do you have the same experience with your friends?

So men, Why does it seem hard for you all to just come out and ask...being your idea?

Women, how many of you have had your man ask you to marry without you bringing it up first?

Wow, I can't believe that.

I was married before and he asked. I never brought it up. My ex asked 6 years into our relationship.

I married again after my husband asked me 4 weeks after we met. And I never brought it up then either. It actually was the furthest thing from my mind since I was separated and legally still married.

I guess I'm old-fashioned. I'd never "push" a man to marry me. Not my style.
