notruluv Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 my uncles part of this biker club and im liking his friend. im 20 m and hes 30. we got in touch so i asked if he would take me for rides of course he said yes but when my uncle found out he told him to stay away from me. am i in the wrong? why is my uncle being a hater? what should i do? I have a few guys I call Brother and there are one or two that, although I'd trust them with my life, I wouldn't let within a square mile of any female relative of mine. From the looks of things, the SBFreaks are an AMA club, so there are fewer concerns, but they're certainly not eliminated. NTL, your uncle's probably not a hater. He just doesn't want you getting mixed up with a biker's life. Being the chick or OL of a patch carries just as many rules as being the patch himself. He knows firsthand what the life is like, and he just doesn't want you to get caught up in it. I can't say I blame him. Talk to your uncle alone, in person, and in private; ask what his reasons are. Hopefully he'll tell you, but even if he doesn't, you'd do well to trust his judgment. He's probably not doing it for some machismo, "don't date any girl in my family" thing.
