It's not likely you had a caloric deficit that high. It's not likely that you lost that much muscle or bone or brain tissue. You may have shed some water. It's possible your change of diet also involved consuming less salt.
Author Jake Barnes
But Ive been drinking water like i used to drink beer and ive been eating salads twice a day which I would think would have a lot of water Do you trust low carb diets? I think youre right about the caloric deficit though, since Ive been putting dressings and bacon on the salads and ive been eating either hard boiled or deviled eggs in the mornings

Edit: best way to lose weight is to weight train enough to psuh ur metabolism, eat as often as you train, drink lots of water and just run in the morning before eating anything. Edit: best way to lose weight is to weight train enough to psuh ur metabolism, eat as often as you train, drink lots of water and just run in the morning before eating anything.I dont weight train, but Ive been doing this cycle 3x in a circuit, 6 days a week push ups/one legged knee bends (using my bed for support)/ crunches it takes like 20 minutes if that This is another important question I have: What are the rules for beer and low carb diets? Tonight Im drinking Coors Light , because it was the lowest carb I could find at the gas station, but Im sure Michelob Ultra is better I know I really shouldnt be drinking beer at all, but this was unavoidable because Touche made me drink

Drink COLD water as much as you can during the day. It will boost your metabolism, which helps a lot during weight loss. Edit: About beer; It has been said that you should avoid beer if you have a no carb diet completely. If you do go through with drinking it then, well, drink always cold and let the foam settle so you savour the flavour.

It should account for about 5-10 lbs of your weight. When you aren't burning glycogen, you are burning muscle along with the fat. Because of that limitation, your workouts will be significantly shorter (burn less fat), and I don't think you will be able to put on as much muscle.

Sudden weight loss is also a symptom of overtraining. How active were you before going on this diet?

Getting my abs back is not worth it.....maybe if I could get my hair back, but screw the abs 157 pounds doesn't sound at all heavy for a guy. I always have to translate into imperial measures to get a proper idea. 11 stone 3. What weight do you want to be, Jake? Personally I want to get down to the low end of my healthy weight range, for vanity purposes. I'm burning up about 4000 calories in the gym each week - which should be just over one pound of fat...but I'm not losing a thing. Really frustrating, as I'm sure I'm not eating more than I usually do. Initially the gym guy was saying "your body's just retaining water because you're doing so much exercise and it's in panic mode." Now when I step off the gym scales, he lifts his eyebrows, I shake my head and he shrugs in a helpless "you must just be raiding the fridge in your sleep, you hog" sort of way. Anyway, back to you. Re losing 4 pounds in a week...I'd agree that probably a couple of pounds of that was water. I know you said you'd been drinking loads of water, but doing that actually helps to flush out excess water in your system rather than encouraging your body to retain it.
