Ronni_W
So are some saying that all souls were created in the beginning and some come to earth and others go elsewhere in the universe or does anyone believe souls are constantly being created? For whatever reason, my instinct is to believe that...no, I change my mind on that thought. If one looks at it as if each "soul" is an aspect of God/The Creator/All That Is (whatever we call It/Him/Her) then, in my own belief, all souls have been available since the Beginning (however we define that.) Is "God" still peeling off new aspects of "himself", as it were? -- it's a possibility, I guess. But my gut is saying 'no', for whatever reason. I do believe that there is a "core" that is maintained in some way, shape or form. The cumulative lessons and evolution of the part of me that is my soul, will reincarnate in tact, as it were. Some of "my" evolved energies might be sent off to some "place" or "person" where it could be useful, but my next incarnation will still have that "core" of whatever. As LB says, it's all pretty cool to ponder over and speculate about. Gotta love the Universe!
Author Arise_Serpentor
Is a soul bound by space and time? I think modern spiritualists would say souls aren't waiting around. I think that's a great point! Souls must not be bound to this dimension! How could they? Hmm...interesting!!!
Jilly Bean
I'm a Pagan, and we very much believe in reincarnation. Speaking purely of physics for a moment, matter can only be altered or created, but never destroyed. If you believe that there is more to our physical bodies, ie. a "life force" or "soul", then what would you think happens to us when we physically pass over this plane we currently exist within? And we don't believe you come back to do it all over again - no same old, same old. You come back to learn the lessons you haven't quite gotten right yet. We believe that once you have learned it all, gotten it all and lived it all (and each of us have a different set of criteria), then you pass over to Summerland, which is akin to Christian Heaven, yet your spiritual work still continues (as a spirit guide, etc.)
disgracian
If you believe in reincarnation, please explain why the number of souls do not need to remain at a constant in order to be considered sensible. Answering a question with another question like that just smacks of immaturity. Don't expect me to do your thinking for you. Cheers, D.
nleeh
Personally, I can't WAIT to reincarnate as a Martian...even though I may not then remember that it was a wish in this incarnation. Oh, hey...what if I've ALREADY been a Martian??? It's interesting to ponder on this subject and also have a sense of humor about it. nleeh
Ronni_W
It's interesting to ponder on this subject and also have a sense of humor about it. I've changed my future planet of choice -- Arcturus is the place for me! It's so wildly synchronistic: I stumbled onto a reference to 'the Arcturians' yesterday, did some googling, and am really loving what I'm finding "out there". So much MORE to ponder...my brain is overflowing (or is it my 'soul' that is expanding? Or maybe it just is BOTH???) nleeh, I absolutely agree that a sense of humour is mandatory, along with an open mind and a willingness to offer assistance/insight when people ask questions about our own beliefs and sources of information. How ELSE will we advance as a society and a planet? Happy Sunday, everyone!
