hcd03
Hi!! I'm in the process of applying to graduate schools. I recently just took my GMAT test, and the unofficial score was 550. I'll be receiving my official score in about 2 weeks. But is 550 good enough for most graduate colleges? Is that about average? I've been looking online but I haven't really gotten any solid answers. jerbear
550 is about average and depending on the program, different areas are emphasized. The thing about the GMAT score is that you are competing against the whole population and it "moves." You're competing against a recent college grad taking the GMAT for the 5th time to a 50 year old taking the test for the first time. Don't just look at the score but look at the your overall picture. For most graduate schools, 600 is considered competitive; 700+ is near perfect Have you visited the GMAT site to get demographics?
