Doctors & nurses.... in my opinion get paid too much $$ to sit back & watch individuals' such as yourself ponder on whether or not something (medicine), is relevant for you to take or not..

I just hope for your well being that all works out for you.. Even if you have to do all the research yourself.... in knowing that you'll be just fine!!! ;)

i, too, thought this once... but it's not the case, for watching and monitoring are two different things. there are more then two dozen medications given for epilepsy, reason being that some people don't react to some and others built up a tolerance to others. i myself have a incredibly high immune system, able to fight off medications and side effects. i've built up an immunity to 7 medications already, and the dosage i need to take of the medication Topamax would kill a small child, but for the most part it suppresses my seizures. there isn't much more for a doctor to do for me, or anyone that develops epilepsy after the stages of puberty, for once the body goes through that development it's almost impossible to naturally stop having seizures... therefor the only thing to do is to take medication, or if lucky enough be able to receive surgery... but believe me, doctors and nurses do much more then watch, also nurse do not make nearly as much as what i think you are assuming... unless they are working in a large hospital within a major city they receive approximately $22 an hour on average... doctors, they deserve every penny they receive for the amount of time they invest...

Patty, take it one day at a time... it may take a little time before you actually find out what it is that's going on, but you will.

thants great news... keep with it, and try not to forget dosages. might be wise to get some sort of pill case. remember, don't freak out it you start getting any odd feelings from the meds... drowsiness, dopiness, or nausea... if they get to much to tolerate then contact the doctor though.

hope everuthing works out well for you.
