I Luv the Chariot OH

Update!!!

Ex/old friend and I have been messaging on Facebook (that's as far as our communications have gone so far) and I found out he lives right by where I work (a purely weird coincidence; he lived right by my last job too), so if I do end not feeling comfortable with seeing him, it may be harder to avoid than I thought. However, in his last message to me, he said something along the lines of "the only excuse we have for not seeing each other in this long is stubbornness." Stubbornness??? Maybe I'm just being paranoid from everyone saying this could rekindle his feelings for me, but how is not seeing each other being "stubborn"? I haven't seen him because 1) I've been living in another city going to school until recently, 2) when I finished school, I went to live in yet another city with my boyfriend, and 3) I've been with my boyfriend for the past (almost) two years, and just didn't feel comfortable enough to talk to an ex while with him until this point in our relationship. It has nothing to do with stubbornness for me--so I'm really wondering what his stubbornness is. What do you all think?

but what if you slept with someone who later became a geniune lifelong friend?

Or what if you based your choice for a romantic partner, based on friendship, mixed with a little extra special. I'm friends with most of my exes, and I'm certainly not pining for any of them. (Though a couple may pine for me.) I just don't see a issue, as long as you have healthy boundaries. My boyfriends tend to become ssome of my best friend, so why do I want to cut that off? There is only one guy I'm not friends with, but our relationship, though intense was toxic, I wouldn't trust him with my least intermost secret now, lol. If I had a boyfriend, and I suddenly wanted to contact this dude, I would expect him to say no, and to check my sanity. The other ones, I hope he would let me see.
