cris.jerico
Your body is in starvation mode. You can't eat like this. Try eating 6 'SMALL' meals a day. Eat healthy cereal and fruit for breakfast. Mid morning snack, handful of nuts or raw veggies. Lunch a small salad - no creamy dressings though. Mid afternoon snack - fruit (good to eat 2 hours before exercising) Dinner - a protien & veggie Evening snack - sugar free jello, or string cheese Your body needs constant calories to keep burning them off. Don't eat anything 3 hours before going to sleep. Anytime you don't eat, even if you do lose wight, it will come right back.
Phateless
WHAT you eat (and the quality) is almost more important than how much you eat. It's not enough to eat a bagel and eggs - you should be eating a SPROUTED WHOLE WHEAT BAGEL and ORGANIC EGGS. Trust me, it makes a difference. Don't eat anything that says "low-fat" or "low-calorie" on it because it's been processed to the point of being unrecognizable as food and is far worse for your body than the natural fat it was meant to replace. (which, by the way, your body needs a bit of for energy) The idea is to boost your metabolism so that you burn calories more quickly, not starve it. If you slow down your intake too much, your body will slow down its metabolism and you will have more trouble burning off the weight. btw, good for you for taking your mission so seriously! i'm proud of you, as this is no easy task. keep your workouts intense, and always push the envelope by adding weight, adding distance, upping the pace, upping the difficulty, changing the routines. Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. EDIT - you can't receive PMs. There is a body building dot com forum out there (that I can't link you to because of Tony's rules ) that might be an incredible resource for you. Do some googling and find it for yourself.
Author redfathom
Morning all, Thanks for the replies. I went grocery shopping yesterday and picked up some good snacks/foods. I got banana, apples (which I will have one each today as a snack). I made grilled chciken and steamed/grilled some veggies (brocolli, carrots, zuchini, tomotaoes and corn) and made spanish rice (I only had 1/2 cup). It was a great dinner and that is what I am having for lunch, with an apples in the afternoon for my snack. I went figure skating yesterday and found out that I burn about 350 calories an hour figure skating, which I usually do for two hours on Wednesday's. Useing my bodybugg I also found out that I burned the following: Friday - 2290 calories, that was with working (desk job) 30 min. walk and running errands in the evening. I ate about 1200 Saturday - 1972, I went to art class and drew most of the day, so I sat around a lot. I ate about 1900 Sunday - 2307, I drew, ran errands, cooked and went figure skating for anhour. I ate about 1300. So the average caloried burned a day was around 2190. And I am trying to keep my intake of food no more then 1200 logged (with 20% unaccounted for = 1500). And of course, I will be eating better.

Just have to be consistent.

Author redfathom
I did buy a scale at home, but it's off and varies by 3-6 pounds off from the gym scale and I can't calibrate (SP). But I do weigh myself at the gym on Thursdays with approximatly the same clothes on. On 9-11 I get my measurements taken again... I do look thinner, which is great and am pretty motivated. Last week I went to the gym three times and figure skating once. This week I will hit the gym twice and figure skate two-three times. I did have a bad weekend of eating, I ate about 200-300 calories more then I like to. But I did exercise those days.
