princessconfused Posted August 19, 2008 Share Posted August 19, 2008 I wrote here a few weeks ago that I was planning on leaving my super controlling husband.....well.... I DID IT!!!!! I just told him I was leaving. I was surprised at how easy he took it. The papers are already filed and signed. I will be divorced on Sept. 15. Of course now, he is realizing that I am not coming back and on top of that, I am happy. He is making some noises now, but, my attorney really gave him a talking to about harassment and jail time and also noted this in the divorce papers. He keeps saying I will be back, but, so far, to tell you the truth, I don't even miss him! I didn't realize it until the attorney told me but I kind of have him over a barrell, as he is on total disability and any kind of felony conviction can shut that off for him. He agreed to the amount i asked for the house and has paid me already. I am with my mother at this time and am actively looking for a job. Thank you so much for all your support and guidance!
