My boyfriend's racist mom.

Today, I and my boyfriend have been going out 1 year and 9 months, happily. I guess we're a unique couple, he's Peruvian/Korean and I’m Ecuadorian/Dominican. He looks more Asian and I look mixed, I get mistaken for black. She doesn’t help because his mother doesn’t like black people... so either way because I’m not Korean or... something other than black I’m still not acceptable. Now we live pretty far away from each other so any time we have we got to each other’s house. But thing is … his Korean mother HATESme. Now, I’ve done nothing to her. I’ve stayed out her way, treated her son like a KING in front of her, been polite to her and everything... but it’s nothing but bad vibes and cut throat answers from her. His father accepts me and is nothing but nice to me, I guess it is because I’m Spanish. He told me on occasions she invites him to dinners so he can meet some “Nice Korean girls”. Sometimes, when I do come over she’ll see me say a short (I hate you, but I'll say hello and be smug) hello and lock herself in her room until I leave and then talk about me or she’ll hang around the house until I feel uncomfortable and leave in that short time.

All and all, I don’t know what to do. Seriously, I’m not crazy and or just being sensitive he’s even told me she hates me. Today I was suppose to come over and he wanted the morning all to ourselves so he asked his mom when she was leaving, and I know as soon he asked she’d know I was coming over to I told him to forget it, I don’t want to feel like an outsider while i'm there and not enjoy my time with him and that I’m never going to his place or calling there ever again. I know a girl’s not suppose to come between her boyfriend’s mom and him but I didn’t know how else to handle this. I don’t wanna sit back and take and I don’t wanna be up front and fight with him to reason with his mom because what he possibly say to change her? He and I can’t just change a person and I can’t just sit back and take it. Help me.

She views him as turning his back on his race and culture and that you are the reason for it.

Its not that she really hates you, she just doesn't want you and him together.

I don't have an answer for your problem.
