hellokitty55
my guy friend who is almost 21 and a junior at a local college just started to date a 17 year old senior at a local high school, but says shes definetly going out of state for school in 1 year. i just dont see why hes going to get close to someone for a year to have her leave and probably dump him while at college (she's very outgoing and cute..alot of guys flirt w/her)...i tried to tell him not to get his hopes up, shes so young and will meet so many diff. people at school...i just want him to be realistic! i want to hear what others think about this... i know you dont know them personally but whats the chances they will stay together during her college years?......any personal experiences where you and your SO broke up during freshman year? Lucky_One
My parents dated all through different colleges. I think that it is up to the two people if they want to date or not. You sound as though you are jealous of her - do you want to date him?
Lucky_One
Yep - I just went back and read your other posts, and you are definitely jealous and want to date him again. Do you ever go back and answer people who have given you good advice and spent a lot of time answering you, or do you just post the same question over and over, hoping that you will get a different answer? LMAO ... nice find lucky one. I was wondering the same thing as I read this. Me and my girlfriend are separated by 45 mins because of college, so we'll see if we can do it. If you really care about someone, no matter how much you like 'em, you should be happy with whom ever they choose, even if you think its a foolish decision. I'm in a similar predicament, except my friend's gf is going to school 15 hours away, he is 23, and this isn't the first time he has set himself up to fail, due to the fact that two other times, with two other girls, at different times, he dated and ended them because of severe long distance (aka-across the atlantic for combat or over 20 hrs from home for medical training). So don't worry about it too much, cause if he is going to be 21, he'll be going to bars and clubs where there are legal age girls and she'll be off having fun at college... its bound to happen, especially for him more then her...
