wishing4cloud9
So my sister and I signed up for this club a month before it opened. I recall one time I was standing next to my sister and the rep who had signed us up for the membership had waved to us. Then some time later the same rep had approached me and casually asked how I liked the facilities and I was sort of in a daze and replied that it was fine. I'm not sure if I came off as rude or uninterested. But we talked for a few more minutes and I had mentioned that I would be going to someone's wedding soon. A few weeks after I had attended the wedding, I was at the club's front desk. While I was waiting at the front desk, the same rep came over and asked me how the wedding went. I was surprised that he even remembered. I can't really go by any body language as there really wasn't any! He spoke very cooly and calmly and didn't ask many questions whereas I was just blabbing on and on. This was only the 2nd time we've spoken to eachother and I've been at the club for a few months now. How do I know if he's just being friendly as my rep or if he's interested? My sister has commented that the rep is not just being friendly because he has never said hello or spoken to her even though he would probably have recognized her as well since he signed both of us up for the membership together. carhill
Generally, people who remember small details about you are interested in you. Whether that interest is romantic or not is something you'll have to find out for yourself
lonelyandfrustrated
Sales and service people are generally good at remembering these details. It's how they gain repeat business and referrals. Doesn't mean he isn't interested, though.
Author wishing4cloud9
Yeah, I suppose he could proabably be working on getting some referrals. I hadn't thought of that. *sigh!* I guess I'm just getting my hopes up. For what it's worth, the first time he approached me, he was off duty and working out like the other members. The second time he was on duty. Maybe it doesn't mean anything. I'll be going back in a couple weeks or so. At that point I'll have to make a move and be the one to start a conversation with him first and see if anything develops from that. Wish me luck!
