How do you remove dark circles under the eyes?

Recommended Posts

Today I noticed that I have dark under eye circles. Anyways, I think it has to do with getting up at 4:30 am and get ready for work where I have to be there at 6am. So, is this something that you can cure? I know I have not been eatting properly too, so maybe that could be an issue. WEll, other then makeup, what can I do to reduce the under eye circles?

There are compounds you can buy at beauty supply stores that help reduce the darkness. However, going to bed earlier and getting sufficient rest, cutting down on foods that contain cholesterol, and taking a good vitamin supplement can also help.

If you get by a natural food store that has cosmetics, they can advise you on certain topical vitamin ointment applications that may be helpful as well.

President Clinton had very dark circles under his eyes all the time, a combination of poor diet (too much McDonalds) and Hillary keeping him up all night chewing his butt out.

Actually, dermatologists call some of the under-eye circles 'allergic shiners'. Seems that your sinuses or something under there swell up and prevent blood from draining out of the veins under your eyes as it should. My doc told me to hold a warm washrag (warm as you can stand without hurting yourself) against them for 30 seconds each morning. It does seem to help. It will also relieve puffy eyes which are caused by trapped fluid. The warm rag helps the clogged whatevers open up so the blood/fluid can drain out like it should.

I have yet to see any evidence that dietary cholesterol causes this.....or any health problem, for that matter.

Sometimes there's nothing you can do. I've had them since I was a kid and no matter what sleep routine or diet i follow, they never change.

Allergic Face

The most impressive features of 'allergy sufferers' are their facial appearances.

Allergic Shiners

Allergic children and adults have typical darkening around the eyes called 'Allergic Shiners'. This blue discoloration is caused by congested veins and has the appearance of smudged mascara around the eyes

this may sound strange, but hemherriod (sp?) cream will take away the swelling, making it easier to cover them with a concealer.

Think I'll stick with the warm washrags, thanks

to be honest, i know it sounds gross, but the cream has a decent texture for under eye makeup, just get yourself a new container of it, one that hasn't touched anyone's bum!!!

What does this have to do with cholesterol?

YOU WRITE: "What does this have to do with cholesterol?"

The poster made no mention of cholesterol...that I have been able to detect.

Nothing. Hence the bold on the phrase

or any health problem, for that matter
.

Unless you don't count allergies as a 'health problem'.

Ahhh I see....difference in my intention and your interpretation. I was referring to cholesterol causing health problems....you read it as health problems causing dark circles. Quite understandable....I retract.
