Is there any excersises or diets I can do to get rid of my man boobs?

Recommended Posts

I am 16 and I am about 6'4 and 350 lbs. My doctor says that I am not obese, because I have very heavy muscle mass. But, all of my fat seems to go to my chest and gives me huge man boobs. Is there any excersises or diets I can do to get rid of my man boobs?

The only exercises I know of that will either diminish the fat in your pecs, would be chest flys done with free weights, incline benchpress, or in most gyms they have cable weights, in which case you can stand in the middle with the cables in both hands, feet shoulder width apart and bring the cables in so it you would look like your flexing your arms and chest like a body builder.

They might either get more toned or bigger, but muscle bigger. Hell who knows, you might be able to crush a can between em!

Good luck!

I think they are kinda of sexxxy... :o

The scrawny kids are embarrassed, the fat kids are embarrassed, the jocks are never big or tall enough, the short kids are embarrassed, the kids that can grow a full beard are embarrassed, and so on... and now the guys with some fleshy pecs are embarrassed.

Most everybody has something about themselves they do not like. Just don't hide because of it. Be yourself and enjoy life.

Up until I was 18 I used to have really big man boobs. The only way to get rid of it is to do cardio. The reason that is, is because you cannot target where your body burns fat, it'll just burn it everywhere. Watch what you eat and do cardio, that's about it.

Get a new doctor....yours is an idiot.

You are clearly overweight. The chance of you being that size with a healthy level of bodyfat is basically nil. You'd be a genetic superman. I doubt you'd be healthy at anything over 275...and even with that you'd be impressively muscular.

Your goal will need to be bodyfat loss...and my guess is that you've got a good chunk to lose. We would have to evaluate your eating habits and adjust them...as well as put you on a proper strength training program.

Absolutely false. There are NO movements to directly reduce fat from the chest or ANY other area of the body. Spot reduction is a myth. All you can do is remove bodyfat in general and watch where it disappears.

This'll probably sound like I'm trying to sell something, but I'm not. Have you tried Atkins? I was on it for about 3 months and lost 30 lbs, went from about 220 to about 190 (I'm 6'1"). I'm now back up to about 200, but I've also been hitting the gym with some frequency and concentrating on weights, so some of it's muscle.

A friend of mine tried reducing his fat mass (as opposed to muscle mass) just through exercise and weights. All that happened was that he bulked up but still had all the fat. Then he went on low-carb, lost about 30 lbs, and now looks pretty damn good. Another friend lost about 45 lbs. (though he doesn't exercise, but damn he looks thin). As for me, my fat mass has dropped considerably and is now at about 15.7% of body mass. My gut is all but gone.

Admittedly, it works differently for everybody, but I'm delighted with the results. I'm not following it terribly closely anymore, just weighing myself once per week and going lower carb for a week if I notice things creeping up. So far so good. Yes, there may be long-term health consequences (not conclusively proven yet), but hey... there are long-term health consequences from just being alive. And, contrary to what a lot of naysayers preach, on a low-carb diet you don't HAVE to start eating cream, butter, pork rinds, etc. Meat and green leafy veg and stuff, nuts, a low-sugar fruit. I switched from snacking on pure carbs to snacking on nuts.
