Affinity for older women; how will this evolve?

I'm 25, and I tend to find women in their early 30s to be most attractive, with a peak around 32-34. This isn't to say that I'm not also attracted to women my own age; it's just that most of the women who "wow" me are a bit older.

Obviously this matter is personal and unanswerable with complete confidence, but how is this likely to evolve as I age? If I become serious with a woman who is 33 now, she'll be 50 when I'm 42. Am I likely to have the same attraction toward women who are older than I am, or is my preferred age range unlikely to change?

The reason I am asking is that, until recently, I always thought that, even though older women are more attractive, it wouldn't make sense to date them seriously because they'll be in their 40s when I'm in my 30s... but, on the other hand, if my preferred range ages as I do, then this isn't at all a problem.

I'm in the same boat as you. My problem is I'm 28, have the mind of a 50 year old, but look like a 21 year old. I tend to find women in their 30s more attractive as well (which includes physically). At that age they look like women and not like little girls anymore.

The more I've thought about it the more I think I should just wait until I'm in my 30s to get serious with a woman. I'm not in any hurry to settle down. That way at least they'll be at the same age. I think the physical attraction would probably wane faster if they're older, but it's speculation on my part. I'm interested to see some other responses.

Oh god yes. Women in their 30s and maybe early 40s are hot.

I love how they flirt with me and don't get all offended by what I say. They just laugh it off

They are attracted to you so they find it very hot that you are paying some attention to them :)

I see no problem.. the women you like do not have such a big age gap.. if it's 10 or less. that's no big deal.. IMO.

Women in their twenties, for the most part I find, haven't found their style in the same way that older women have...older women have an effortless elegance and confidence that of course is attractive and very beautiful.

Why should you worry about finding women who are obviously attractive, attractive? Don't get caught up in the whole age thing...that's shallow.

I have a quote from Mark Twain in my signature, but here's another one.

"Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."

Right on, Twain. I'm 24 and I too would ravish someone in their 30's or 40's... with a bit of romance of course.

Like a bottle of Sherry from 1800, women only get better with age. Probably more expensive, too!
