It was totally fun, easy, enjoyable and reaffirmed that we just sincerely get along as people. However, after a few drinks, at the end of the night, I instigated making out with him. It was just to see if I could -- a total power thing! Pretty lame, but after it left me feeling "meh." Made me realize that I am really over him. I'm still suspect of his intentions with me. He was a total gentleman all night, but I still not quite sure why he is keeping me around. We talked about our dating lives and it seemed totally normal and no jealously on either parts. He seems to genuinely want to be friends, but I still feel like as soon as he gets a girlfriend, I will be dropped. I feel like I'm an ego boost to him. Guys: would you genuinely befriend an ex without any ulterior motives? I'm just not talking "friendly," but like as an active friend that you see regularly and include in your life.
