Going on instant dates the same day you meet someone instead of getting their number

If you meet a member of the opposite sex when you're out and about in the daytime, and you have a really good interaction (conversation and vibe) with them, the standard route is to ask for that person's phone number with a view to meeting up again at a later stage.

 

I've found a more efficient way of doing things.....

 

Instead of blindly going for the phone number, ask them to join you for a cup of coffee there and then. So if you meet someone when you're out and about in a mall or shopping street and the conversation goes well, just say "Well I was just on my way to get a cup of coffee...you're welcome to join me!". Usually the person will agree to join you, and you can run the coffee date as you would a normal date and get to know each other. By doing this, you are saving time because you're having a date the same day as meeting the person, instead of getting their phone number and meeting up at a later stage.

 

I recently had two of these 'instant dates' in the space of 2 days, and the second on ended up with a kiss at the end.

 

Why not seize the moment and save yourself time instead of blindly taking a phone number (that might not turn into anything anyway)? People are flaly and hard to get on the phone, plus people are busy, so I see instant dates as a good solution to this madness.

 

The only reason to 'settle' for a phone number is if one (or both) of you is in a hurry and can't go on an instant date at that moment.

 

Of course, after the 'instant date' you can exchange phone numbers and see if other again if it's gone well.
