Mydish1
This co-worker sits/works pretty close to me and lately I'm finding myself finding her cute and attractive in a dorky kind of way. Most days when I come into work I walk pass her to get to my seat and she says 'hi' or "hello". What's strange about her is she's never one to use people's names (or use my name). Which is why I like her because of that quirky/strange nature. Though she never says bye to me when she leaves. I've taken some interest in her and talk when it's slow at work. Though she's never been one to take an interest in me. Which I've noticed with girls lately whether or not they're interested, they hardly ask questions about me. So then because of that, it's hard for me to tell whether or not they're attracted to me. Though I suspect there might be a few girls at my job who have an office crush on me, including the one I'm posting about. What's good so far is we've often been able to get a lot of alone time. or situations where it's just us talking. Though because it's hard to read whether or not she's interested, I haven't asked her out to coffee. What should I do?
ed-205
Just a shot in the dark here, but why don't you try asking her out for coffee? Not trying to sound inane here, but you gott'a start somewhere, and the worst she can say is "no". Actually, the strangest answer that *I* ever got after asking a girl out for a cup of coffee was... "I'M NOT GOING TO RAISE YOUR KIDS FOR YOU!!", ...which I interpreted to mean "no"... Maybe I should have asked her to go Bowling instead?...Nah! It wasn't the answer I was looking for, but the giggle factor alone made the asking worth the effort!

Author Mydish1
I guess I keep looking for signs, but as usual shy/reserved girls never give off signs such as her. The other day I noticed her eyes are unusually colored, I guess it was a bit flirty but I kinda gazed into her eyes...oddly enough it didn't dilate (as when you see something you like)...she let me spend 5 seconds looking at her eyes, she didn't twitch, blush, smile, or get nervous. She's such a weird girl... Today she stayed at work as late as me (my other co-workers were there too). Honestly she has no reason to stay but she did, which kind of hints that she wanted to leave the same time as me. Right before we left, I casually joked that we should grab coffee and stay up all night. Well..nothing really came of it. I saw her outside the building when leaving, but it felt a bit stalkerish to run up to her and ask her out to coffee for real. We have a company party tomorrow...hopefully things will go more smooth! superd
If she doesn't want to know your name, than bail on this one.
Author Mydish1
Don't think it worked out. During the day I asked if she wanted to go for coffee, she said 'sure, when?' I think she thought it was casual as going downstairs to grab a cup. When I mentioned afterwork or possibly over the weekend, it signaled something in her brain. And she eventually started giving me these excuses about not being able to go. So I just said the next time she was free to let me know when. Oh well...at least we're still cool with each other at work. Anyway there's another co-worker at my job who gives me a weird look everytime she sees me. I'll never know what she's thinking...
