Does anybody have anything nice to say about E-Harmony?

Hey, Shygirl!

I had to tell you.

I am almost at the end of my 3-months with eharmony.

And today, I got a match.

Never married, no kids, a doctor, 6'1", GORGEOUS (that is if you like dark hair and eyes, and a VERY buff body!).

We've only started our communication, and weeks away from even potentially meeting, but I had to share and say, don't give up yet!!!

If nothing else, Im just so happy that I FINALLY got a match that is of true interest! :)

So, it can happen...

Wow, you'll look like a toddler next this guy, aren't you 5'2" or something??

*sigh* Child-sized women just don't make my engine roar...

Now how did I miss this post? So how are things going, it's almost 3 weeks now..

I closed my account, BTW. Towards the end of my subscription, they started sending me some really gorgoeus professional hunks; and one of them opened communications with me. But my subscription ended just before we reached open communication...:(

Hell, I wasn't prepared to shed another $59.99, but sometimes I can't help to think that I might have lost something good there..

Anyway, life goes on..:(

Hey, what's wrong with plumbers? Super Mario is a plumber and he's got a heart of gold! :p

Seriously though, I know what you're saying about E-harmony. I filled out the questionnare and recieved the same response. At the time I felt like it meant that maybe there isn't anyone out there for me but I realized maybe it's just better I try to find that special someone the old fashioned way. Hasn't happened yet but in all honesty I haven't really been looking until recently.

I got stuck on "what is wrong with a plumber?"

What occupation is most fitting to you?

And this plumber may own his own business. A lawyer or doctor may not. Who will end up being richer? Who will spend more time with you?

I say communicate with the plumber, and I doubt you will be flushing your money down the drain. On the other hand...okay, I had better not carry the plumber jokes too far! :D

ew- I would never date a plumber

What a waste of money. I could have bought some nice slacks for myself with $59.99. E-Harmony has the most boring people I have ever seen in the history of online dating.

but if they were exciting & fun...why would they need the internet to date? Sorry I just don't understand the whole online dating thing.

I think RBV's point is that the law of probabilities is applying here. When 2/3 of the population of DC is black, it's much more likely that you're going to be matched up with a black guy.

Yeah, and he was doing 6' shrooms, too. No wonder every time he saw a star, he thought he was invincible!

While that is true, chances are there are fewer black men on the internet looking for dates, compared to other races. This is because black men are more interactive and can mingle easily in real life therefore it's much easier and quicker for them to meet women in their neighbourhoods and communities rather than online.

That's been my experience as well. I've tried eH three separate times, and in all that time I think I only met one guy in person because their matches for me were so utterly b o r i n g and otherwise totally not compatible people for me.

Match is my dating site of choice.

I don't have experience with E-Harmony, but I do with other sites. I have tried Match.com and I didn't think it was worth it. I wouldn't pay to join a dating site again. I did however, notice that many of the ppl on the paid sites are also on the free ones! Out of all the free sites, I like Plentyoffish.com is the best. I hoped this helped! Good luck!

Hi ladies. I have used Match three times. Kinda so-so. I emerged with two relationships though. I would rather use Yahoo Personals. The interractions with people are more real.

EH is not worth it at all.
