georgejungle
I'm waiting to see the Doc next week. Factors: -I don't exercise regularly -I'm 32 -about 10 LBS overweight. -Don't drink Coffee daily anymore. No Cokes. -I take Vitamins. Try to eat healthy Had a Starbucks this morning after no having caffeine in a while now i'm all jittery, my heart races and slows down and i feel nervous. Hell, a co-worker i didn't know was behind me, scared the crap out of me and My heart jumped all over the place and i felt wasted after that. I do tend to get winded easier lately after a flight of stairs...out of shape? Any thoughts? Is it anxiety or stress ya think? Because (1) single small cup of coffee couldn't do that, could it? donnamaybe
Do you smoke? Do you eat healthy meals? It sounds like possibly a blood sugar problem, actually.
EnigmasMuse
Possibly an anxiety attack. Hope you get checked soon.
Jilly Bean
It could be anxiety, stress, or an genuine heart condition. Let your doctor diagnose you. But, I would cut out the caffeine in the meantime. Why don't you exercise?
whichwayisup
You had a coffee induced anxiety-attack. Don't drink starbucks, it's the worst coffee to drink. You're out of shape and that's another reason why you're breathless.
D-Lish
Any thoughts? Is it anxiety or stress ya think? Because (1) single small cup of coffee couldn't do that, could it? It certainly could be anxiety- although anxiety is present all the time, while caffeine merely exacerbates nervousness if you are prone to it. If you haven't had coffee in a while... a cup of starbucks could certainly give you the jitters. For sure see your doctor to be on the safe side. DO you feel on edge all the time (even midly), or was this an isolated incident?
Author georgejungle
FINALLY going to see the Doc later on. Well, it's been isololated to only a handful of times that this has happened to me, if that makes any sense. YESTERDAY, i had a weird panic attack (i guess), my heart jumped just sitting at the desk, i started breathing heavy to catch my breath. It scared me more than anything and I just felt like I was hyperventilating, just because i was freaked out. I have been kinda anxious and stressed a little from work lately... AND, got a baby on the way with the wife. But i've never experienced anything like this, anxiety attacks? I get shy and nervous sometimes, but never FREAKED OUT. i can usually always keep my cool. I'll see what the Doc has to say. Why don't I exercise? good question...Same ol' excuse, no time, when I actually could make time. I need to do it. I don't drink and I don't smoke. I'm 5'10", 165. I eat healthy most of the time. Lately more comfort food than normal, but usually I eat healthy
