Amazon22
I've been working third shift for the past year and a half now. At first I could handle the hours and the sleeping schedule. But now it I think it is really taking a tole on my body. I work between 50 and 65 hours a week here, which really shouldn't be all that much for me considering I am only 22. On the weekends my sleeping schedule gets reversed cause I have those days off and when sunday night rolls around I am practically dead when I go into work! Anyone out there who has worked third shift???? Any suggestions? Thanx, Haley
Jamie31
My husband is in your same situation. I really don't know what to tell you. I guess after a while, your body just adjusts to the f*cked up sleep schedule. Why don't you try to switch to day shift? It's a fact that people that work night shift live shorter, more unhealthy lives. That's why I am trying to get my hubby to get a day shift job.
Author Amazon22
I work at a hotel, small staff. My other "Night Auditor" just quit on me, no notice, so i have to work it til they find another part timer ( I am full time). I wish i could switch to 2nd shift, 3pm to 11pm, so if i had to work weekends I could still go out at night and not have to be up early in the morning. They are doing what they can to get me where I want to be, but the two bosses are men, so you know that it's a slow process I blacked out last night here, I think from exhaustion. I started loosing clumps of hair a few weeks ago from stress(I think). I cannot wait to see what comes next! Haley

I have an oppurtunity to take a 2nd shift job but if it's gonna take years off my life I'll think twice.
