nymoozle
Hey everyone, I'm 21, and up until these past few weeks, I had only dated two women in my life (one girl 1.5 years ago, and one girl earlier this year). However, I've lately became very interested in casually dating, and learning how to meet lots of women. I'm uninterested in being in a relationship right now, as I felt very stifled and bored in my last (first) relationship. Recently, I've gotten a lot better at meeting girls. Today, I just went out with a girl who I met while waiting for a bus! I also have a date planned on Friday with another girl. My date tonight went very smoothly. We spent 1.5 hrs at an ice cream place, and the conversation was never awkward. She's *extremely* nice/sweet, very very smart, and cute. She was clearly enjoying herself, and I also thought it was a good time. However, I wasn't *excited.* My adrenaline wasn't rushing, and I wasn't sexually charged, or nervously charged, or anything like that. I get nervous very easily, and sometimes it's extremely annoying (I'm involved in theater, and I get stomach aches before every show I perform in; I also tremble when I'm nervous, and that happens quite a lot). However, it's also a rush, and I think that one reason I love the "chase" is that I love the nervousness that accompanies it. Nervousness can be thrilling. Anyway, I'm far more excited about my date on Friday than I am about the date I just had. I also think I'd rather try to meet girls at a bar than go out with the girl I just went out with, *even though* I don't tend to like bar types! I like girls who appreciate nerdiness...nice girls. Not the kind of girl you typically find at a bar (please excuse my generalization; I know it's a generalization). And yet, it seems that the problem I have with this girl is that she is too nice! A few questions... A) Should I try going out with this girl again, despite not being excited? If not, how should I proceed? She's a very very nice girl, and I'd like things to not be totally awkward if I see her again! B) What the hell am I looking for? Can anyone relate to what I'm saying? C) How do I "casually date" properly? Is it all about the first date? In other words, if I'm not blown away, do I just move on to the next? That seems like I'm putting all my eggs in one basket.
