maskee28
Has anyone heard of the prescription weight-loss pill Xenical? My cousin, who is approx. 50 lbs. overweight has been on it for two weeks now, and seems to be losing weight. Apparently it's a pill you take three times a day, with meals I think. It works by absorbing about 1/3 of the fat you consume so that you don't digest it. You still need to follow a diet with about 30% of calories coming from fat, which is the same diet recommended by the American Heart Association. Still, though, it seems a little too good to be true. Has anyone had any experience with this drug? Or know someone who has? Thanks...
Ryan
Any pharmaceutical is a bad idea for fitness improvements. This product puts someone at serious risk for deficiency in fat-soluble vitamins. There's no excuse for such products. People need to develop changes in lifestyle and a proper approach towards diet and exercise. Lack of willpower is NOT a valid reason.
