Eve
Words. Words are SO powerful and personal. I think that the chasm between faith and action are felt most aptly within words.. Please share the most inspiring words you have heard and felt here. I shall begin. I knew someone who told me that in his old age that if he could live his life again he would not worry about one single thing because life always works its way out when you have a repentant heart. This conversation changed my life. I now figure that people and life are not as complex as they each seem... These were words from someone who hurt me as a child BUT who changed because he looked upon how he had esteemed 'problem situations' above that of looking after those who were dependant upon him. theBrokenMuse
My favorite is the following: Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man. -Bertrand Russell-

Many crimes are committed in order to escape a thought... but this quote goes WAY above MANY situations... it encompasses so much! I like it when priviledge and ration are not divided in the stupid ways depicted by the media.. Thank you!
Trialbyfire
There's no depth to this one, it's pretty straight-forward: The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me. ~ Ayn Rand To take that one step further, people stop themselves. There are no victims.

Geishawhelk
"If you cannot find peace, happiness and serenity exactly where you are right now - then where else do you expect to find it?" "Weigh in your heart, the difference in the qualities of Hatred, Anger and Resentment, against those of Kindness, Compassion and forgiveness. Then - Choose." It all begins in our head, with what we tell ourselves." "Whatever you put Energy into, will Grow." These four, more than any others, have helped me by kicking me in the @$$, several times over! Oh, those and - "When all else in Life fails - eat the last chocolate biscuit."
