Calling that girl that I never had the chance to talk to and meet her

OK here's the deal.

 

I had major crush on this girl from 4 years ago. I never had the chance to talk to her and meet her. She went to my college and I just didn't have the guts to even approach her.

 

Now it's the year 2003 and she has transferred to a different college. I was able to find her phone number through an online directory. This might be my last chance to talk to her, since this is probably her final year of college. I would rather take the e-mail route, but her email address has not been registered yet through her university...so I have no other option.

 

I want to take some kind of action before it's too late. Is it not right to call her? What would I say if just called her up? Do girls even dig this type of thing?

You have a crush on a girl that you first saw or met, four years ago.

You went to the same school up until recently.

Now that she is at a different school, you want to ask her out.

 

Does she know who you are? Have you two actually met & talked?

 

If you want to get to know her then you have got to call her. As for what you will say to her, well, I'm stumped as to how you could explain why you didn't ask her out before. I probably wouldn't go out with a guy who was so afraid of approaching me for four years and only mustered enough courage to send an email after I left the campus.

 

Just call her if you want and tell her you have admired her from afar and disappointed that she's in another college now and ask her if she'd like to get together with you for coffee or a drink or something. If she says no, tell her okay, hang up and go find someone else. If she says yes, then make the plans.

Yep that's right.

 

I have never formerly met her. She probably doesn't know who I am, but there is

a slight chance she might since we both played college athletics. She played

Women's Soccer...I played Football.

 

I would hate to wonder what would happen if didn't take the chance....so it's

something I feel like I must do. Don't leave any stone unturned. That's been

kind of my motto.

 

Final question....do girls like things like this? People coming out of the blue

to tell them that they like them? I know I would like it, because it would be

certainly interesting...and something I would think about days on end.

It doesn't matter if you get 200 responses saying "girls hate that" the girl you are talking about might like it.

 

Just pick up the dang phone and call her! You are in college now, not Jr. High.

 

When the phone is picked up say "Hi, is this xxxx?"

 

If she says yes then you can say something like "you might not remember me - I played football when you were playing soccer at xxxx school" There's your icebreaker - then just say you were sorry to see her leave school and would she like to go out with you.
