teamzissou00 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I've already gone with "what's up beautiful" as an attempt at a witty way to flatter this girl. I don't want to overuse it though. Is "what's up cutie" too feminine or Rosie O'Donnell or something, for a guy to say.
Author teamzissou00 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 No, it's patronising. How so? Girls don't like being called cute anymore?
Geishawhelk Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 No, because they know you're after something. Even if you're not..... It's just not an appropriate thing to say to someone (especially if you don't know them...) it's a bit like a wolf whistle... some women don't mind it, and can shrug it off, but there is the general concensus that it makes women feel as if they're being viewed merely as something to oggle at.....
carhill Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 If you look like Brad Pitt no Brad Pitt doesn't need to talk at all
Suiyobi Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 The sure-fire way to a girl's heart is to tell her that her brains are sexually arousing.
Suiyobi Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 It's worked for me before but maybe because she didn't take me seriously. But I was serious. Smart girls are Grade A material that keep me up at night.
CommitmentPhobe Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 It's worked for me before but maybe because she didn't take me seriously. But I was serious. Smart girls are Grade A material that keep me up at night. talking to you about physics?
Suiyobi Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 talking to you about physics? Lol got into chemistry and biology as well.
Vertex Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 The sure-fire way to a girl's heart is to tell her that her brains are sexually arousing. This makes me think of a zombie lusting after brains Brraaaaaiinnnnssss....
MrMe Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I dont know if a girl would consider it lame, but i know I would sure feel lame as hell saying that, unless both she and I knew that I was joking....
Isolde Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 The sure-fire way to a girl's heart is to tell her that her brains are sexually arousing. LOL I almost spat out my Coke when I read this
motive2002 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Hmm, let's see. I'm going to take a stab at this and then duck the flaming arrows I may receive in return. The bitter, jaded woman might see any sort of conversation starter as "He just wants to get down my pants". I've seen this a lot. Say "What's up cutie" to one of them and you'll probably get the stinkeye. Shrug that one off cause you don't want that type of woman anyway I would personally save "What's up cutie" for someone I've already established some kind of rapport with. Tossing that out on a complete stranger may send up immediate warning flags. You never know. She could have been checking you out hoping you'd make some kind of approach already (no matter what that approach is). You've got nothing to lose.
Citizen Erased Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 How about you say Hi *insert name here*. I won't touch on the creepy perve aspect, it's just a dreadful way to greet someone.
Jilly Bean Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 It depends on a few things. 1 - her age (younger girls won't have a problem with it, whereas older women might tweak) 2 - your relationship (I have had lovers/BF's greet me with, Hey, sexy, Hey gorgeous, Hey beautiful, etc.) Now, if she is young, and you are warming up to asking her out, I would suggest sticking with Hi and her name. Wait until things become a little more defined before you start in with pet names.
Green Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Calling the something you want to lick might work... "whats up lollypop?"
Meaplus3 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 While getting to know her, I would simply address her by her name. After a while once you feel she's comfy with you then "What's up Cutie" IMO would be taken as a compliment. I don't think her age matters here. I'm not young.. but I'm certainly not old either and I have been called "Cutie" by many..it makes me smile. AP:)
sweetbutcheeky Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 "What's up?" Is the best you could think of? That's not even asking or saying anything. A big turn off to me. Being called a cutie, beautiful or any complement can be nice, but when it's from someone you don't know and in the form of some sort of pick up line, you can't take it seriously that they mean it anyway. I would only believe or appreciate it if said by someone I know.
Author teamzissou00 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Haha wow, 20+ responses on "what's up cutie". Wasn't expecting that. I've been talking to this girl for a few weeks, so it isn't hitting on a stranger or anything like that.
