I am a regular 40-year old married heterosexual male- (I guess regular!) In any case almost every night I get this constant itching in my anus. I'm clean because I am really adament about that stuff- Is there anything I can use down there to stop the itching??? argh!

I would go to your Dr and get a check up.

 

It could be hemmrhoids, worms, or a case of very dry skin, either way, please see your family physician.

 

In the meantime, take a bath with baking soda to help ease the itchies.

Yes. It is relatively common and is easily treatable.

 

What is anal itching?

 

Anal itching is the irritation of the skin at the exit of the rectum, known as the anus, accompanied by the desire to scratch. Although itching may be a reaction to chemicals in the stool, it often implies that there is inflammation of the anal area. The intensity of anal itching and the amount of inflammation increases from the direct trauma of scratching and the presence of moisture. At its most intense, anal itching causes intolerable discomfort that often is described as burning and soreness.

 

What causes anal itching?

 

 

• Anal itching can be caused by irritating chemicals in the foods we eat, such as are found in spices, hot sauces, and peppers.
  
• Anal itching also can be caused by the irritation of continuous moisture in the anus caused by frequent liquid stools, diarrhea, or escape of small amounts of stool (incontinence). Moisture increases the possibility of infections of the anus, especially yeast, particularly in patients with diabetes mellitus or HIV.
  
• Treatment with antibiotics also can lead to a yeast infection and irritation of the anus.
  
• Psoriasis also can irritate the anus.
  
• Abnormal passageways (fistulas) from the small intestine or colon to the skin surrounding the anus can form as a result of disease (such as Crohn's disease), and these fistulas bring irritating fluids to the anal area.
  

Other problems that can cause anal itching include:

 

• pinworms,
  
• hemorrhoids,
  
• tears of the anal skin (fissures), and
  
• skin tags (abnormal local growth of anal skin).

I know excessive wiping/cleaning around the opening whenever I get the runs will make my skin dry and fragile, thus tearing easily and/or itch, so it could be you're having the same problem if it's an exterior condition. If the problem's inside your anal pore, you might ask the doctor about hemmrhoids.

I googled ass worms. The first site was an itchy crack poop report and the guy had a worm come out his butt and wrap around his penis.

The most commo9n type of intestinal worm is the threadworm. I've had it twice. once as a child, once as an adult.

In both cases due more likely than not, to ingestion of something with eggs in it.

They're very common, and very easy to get rid of.

They're not a sign of disease or dirtyness, they're just something that happens.

Like head-lice.

 

Mind you, I remember seeing a programme about 2 people who wanted to lose weifght really fast for a special occasion (in both cases it was a wedding and these two people - separate incidents, not related to one another or marrying each other - groom and bride - purchased tapeworm eggs off the internet, and two days before the wedding, after having lost a lot of weight - took a medication which ejected the worm.
