SnowWhite924
I find myself spending hours on the internet & checking my email. I work 6 hours and day and in between working, I'm surfing and reading/writing emails. I go home from work and again, I'm surfing. I know this is not productive or healthy and I need to stop! I need ideas...Unfortunately, my job isn't THAT busy for me not to be able to spend the time on line. Suggestions???
Ruby Slippers
How about you give yourself ONE block of time daily -- say, half an hour -- to check e-mail and surf? You can only use the Internet during that time. Try it for a week, and see how it goes.
Green
the block of time thing is a good sugestion... maybe even make it a block of time only once a week. What is it that you'd wrather be spending your time doing? Are you out of shape? join a gym!... Or is their some project like finding a new job, or writing a book that you really want to do

lonelyandfrustrated
I know you can't do this at work, but there's freeware you can download that will put a timer on your internet usage. You can set it so you can surf for so long and then *blink* internet shuts down for a specified period of time. Just google for internet timer freeware.
