fromlonelytogreat
I have a crush on a girl in my office. It's strange, but I am finding that I am always trying to find opportunities to be around her - hard when she is over the other side of the office. She has been with the department for three years, but has moved into my floor just recently due to a position opening up on a temporary basis. The position itself is a few levels higher than me, but her usual position is around the same level as me - she will be on my floor for nine months. That's a bit intimidating actually, but given that I work a second part-time job, I probably would earn close to what she does right now, and more than her normal role. I do know that she is a few years older..... and she is also really nice. I do want to get to know her more, and to see whether we click, but I do have a couple of concerns. 1. A workplace romance can potentially be dangerous. However, the thought of having to keep this secret (seemingly) really intrigues me. 2. The fact that my social life is basically non-existent - see my thread 'I am alone'. This could be a potential turnoff? She has braces and I find that to be rather cute. kdark
I've found work relationships to be nothing but headaches... So many fights with my first work romance could have been avoided if we didn't work together. But we worked in close proximity for eight hours, and then would hang out afterwards until the end of the night, and she really got on my last nerves towards the end. The secret aspect of it can be controlled, as long as both of you act mature while at work and don't feel the need to tell everyone. My other work romance we kept secret for six months, only letting our close work friends know, told them to never tell anyone, and no one found out... I haven't read your other thread, but I'll be sure to after this post! And yes, braces are VERY cute...
