hotgurl
Let this be a daily/ weekly weight loss support thread? With the holidays coming up I know the pounds can pile on. We can set weekly goals for ourselves and make suggestions for each other. We can check in weekly to see who has achieved those goals. We can trade weight loss tips recipes, stories & give each other much-needed support. Let's do it right here, now!
Katherineos123
I think thatd be great! Any support system is encouraging! Lets see. My end objective is to lose around 10-15 lbs. Not sure if youve read my other threads but, Ive been having some trouble seeing any real results. Its been about a month and a half now of exercising 4 days a week, and eating healthier, and still nothing! Damn. That being said, maybe Id have to report on a bi or tri-weekly goal! youngandhopeful
I would be up for doing this i want to lose around 7-8 pounds, which isnt much, but its that last bit around my lower abs which wont shift. Hopefully a bit of inspiration and motivation from this site might help me, and others to reach their goals

baker23
Hi, I also want to jump on the weight loss wagon, and this is hard for me to admit, but I have gainned weight. I need to lose about 20 pounds, but my goal this week would be to wal/run 20 miles in four days. Today I did 5 miles, and I will definitely start eating healthier. I love this, and I promise to be honest about my eating habits.
amaysngrace
Well I ate like crap today. Three peanut butter and jellys. But that's all I ate today. I didn't exercise but I cleaned out my gutters and raked my front lawn and tarped them up and drug them to the street so I'm not doing butt crunches. No way. I'm tired. crzyblndstar
I want to lose about 20 pounds and do some major toning up. I have been eating very healthy for about a month now and have lost around 5 pounds. Now I need to start the exercising. So.....tonight I will run/walk on the treadmill (it's freezing here) for at least 40 mins and do some toning exercises, ie lunges, abs, and pushups with planks. This is exciting, I like having other people to do this with.
baker23
So, How are you ladies doing today? Today I had a healthy breakfast, a so so luch (lunch is my biggest meal of the day), and I'm planning on having a healthy dinner. The weather is freezing here, but I'm planning on doing my 5 miles nonetheless; I have a treadmill, but I get bored with it, and after a few minutes start making excuses to stop excercising, but I have a workout buddy, and he goes running/walking with me . I want to set realistic goals; I want to lose a total of 20-25 pounds, but I want to lose 7-10 pounds for Christmas. Good luck, and be positive.
amaysngrace
I am still a little sore from raking two days ago but I will exercise before today ends. I ate a ham and cheese with mayo on white so far today. Not the best but I don't need to lose weight. I like looking well-nourished. If I don't eat enough my face gets thin and then I don't look well. I'm glad I stopped smoking cigarettes. They always made my face look thin.
Author hotgurl
I am doing ok with eating. I started counting points again. But not so much with the exercise. It is tough when it is 15 degrees out. Tonight I will do either the exercise bike or DDR for a half an hour. What day do you want to do a weekly weigh in?
alphamale
We can trade weight loss tips recipes, stories & give each other much-needed support. Author hotgurl
i've lost 25 lbs over the last year just by eating 200 fewer calories/day and walking 30 minutes most days. congrats Alpha! I have lost 40 pounds in the last year and a half. It is just the last 10-15 that are hard. I know I need to tone and convince myself to walk in the cold.
Katherineos123
Hotgurl & Alphamale! Congrats to you both! That kind of weight is no easy task! I myself have been feeling rather discouraged lately. Ive been hitting the gym (45 min cardio & 30 min strength traning) 4 days a week, for 6 weeks! Eating SUPER healthy & watching my calories... and Ive really seen nothing! Although... I have noticed changes in my stamina, strength, energy level, and sleep, which is all well and good, but I did think Id be seeing some changes by now! Yeeesh! Hotgurl-I too want to lose about 10-15 lbs. Is it true that they really are harder to shed? By the way, I TOTALLY feel ya on the 15 degrees thing! That sh** SUCKS!
crzyblndstar
So...I have been doing really good with the eating but I just cannot get motivated to exercise. I even had a stressful day yesterday and thought about how nice it would be to run on the treadmill to release some stress and I STILL didn't do it. What the h*ll is wrong with me? I even really enjoy exercising. bleh. I need to get motivated. What does everyone else do to motivate themselves? I am just so tired by the time I get home from work. Author hotgurl
well II exercise for the past three days. My eating has been ok. Except I are a bagel this am. I know tonight will be a heavier dinner since I am going out with friends but I allow myself a gimmie on Fridays.
makinitmine
Man I've been trying, not quite sure how well it's going so far....I found this workout routine that I've been liking, I started it about two weeks ago (4x a week) and the first week of it was a killer. The second week went a bit better. So far in these two weeks I have managed to lose 3 pounds....the hard part for me is the eating side of things as my family likes to get pizza once a week and then eat out another time a week....so that's 2 times a week and I know that's partly where I'm failing.... let's see how it goes this week

Your muscles should be able to absorb more carbs and faster at that time as opposed to converting it to fat.
