Beatnik
Anyone have advice on how to whiten my teeth? I'm looking for over-the-counter stuff mostly.
moimeme
You could start by brushing them with plain old baking soda. If they're not too stained, that can work well. I don't know what products you have in the States, but I got someone to try Arm & Hammer whitening toothpaste and it worked quite well for him. I can't use the OTC compounds because I'm allergic to peroxides.

Get the Crest whitening strips. They really DO work. But it's even better if you get the "professional" version. They can be ordered over the internet, so you don't have to get them from your dentist. They're basically the same as the ones in the store but a little stronger. I've tried them twice over the past few years and get a noticeable difference if used as directed. Good luck.
