Want a different life

I'm currently attending Coastal Carolina University. I have a 3.6 gpa and I'm double majoring in finance/accounting. I have a minor in international business. I did an internship as an IT Audit project manager. Basically, I want to transfer schools, but money is a huge issue. My parents make too much for financial aid, and I do not want any student loans. I really want to live in Australia or Southern California after college, so I can surf. I also plan on being a financial analyst. I'm extremely worried because I will be graduating in two years and do not want to live outside of NYC. Any suggestions?

I am a little confused first you said that you want to live in Australia or Southern California but then you said that you do not want to live outside of NYC?

You want a different life because your life is so hard? Because "your parents make too much money for finanicial aid you and you do want any student loans?" Well why are you complaining?

I put myself through school, and I have massive debt from that because my parents DO NOT work and I support them. So what is the problem here?

I have an idea let's switch lives! PLEASE be grateful!

I am not rich. I have to work full time to not have student loans. I'm not miserable, I just want to be able to surf all year round in warm weather, with good job security.

Guess what? We'd ALL like to live like that; like you, though, we can't all afford to. So get off that trip, get a job up here, save your money, and take a vacation in a few years' time. Once you've got some experience and seniority, start applying for jobs in SoCal or AU.

Alternately, suck it up and apply for a student loan. Yes, you'll have to pay it off, so the question comes down to how much can you wait versus how much do you want to pay? You can go now and pay more, or save first, wait longer, and pay less. Sucks, doesn't it? Well, as they used to say in Vietnam, "embrace the suck", 'cause life is gonna throw a lot more (and a lot worse) at you!
