do men find size 8 on a woman fat?

Actually, it's more women and the media, who feel that size 0 is desirable. As tan expressed, most guys have no idea what that means.

It's like binary:

Switch on: Hot body.

Switch off: Built like a tank.

I'm a size 0...and it sucks on the standpoint of getting men...believe it or not, men do want a woman with a little bit to her. I'm skinny- not anorexic, but skinny. I'm also 5'1". You can't generalise a size and the way you look based on a number. A size 8 looks different on every woman. It also depends a gigantic amount on your height. I used to be a size 8 and @ 5'1", I thought it was a bit pudgy. It all depends on the physicalities of your body/shape.

it seems like size 0 is the only desireable size. Is size 8 considered as too fat or pudgy?

I highly doubt Size 0 is the only -- or even the most -- desirable size.

I used to be a size 0 and I was asked out some, but some men found me too skinny. Women always complimented me! ("You look like a model," etc.) I was a stick. Now, I'm a size 2/4, and men find me much more attractive than they used to. (Still skinny, of course, but curvier.)

Personally, I'd prefer to have my old figure back, because I grew up used to being the thinnest gal in the room, but at least I can shop off the sales rack now. (Size 0s never make it to the sales rack.) Most of my guy friends think I'm nuts and look much better now. Most of my girl friends completely understand.

Guys don't care about clothes size. They care about fitness, though most I know do tend to like some softness and some curves better than totally thin or completely muscular. I'd say that Size 8, in general, is well in the range for what most guys like... Most guys I know would like a lady between Size 2-10, depending on height and build. Though being at least somewhat in-shape (more exercise than food) is attractive to most men I've met.

I know nothing about women's clothing sizes.

I just know when I see a woman that's the right size and shape. I like a small waist to hip ratio (meaning hips are wider than the waist), a curvy body, and not too fat or skinny.

Do you have any examples of different sized women? Might be able to survey some men and see what they find most attractive. I don't think most guys go for a size 0.

You have to go with your height and weight. As well as your own body proportions. Size means NOTHING. I have jeans that are size 2. Have some that are 4. Both fit great. I have dresses and shirts that run from 2-8. I swear, the manufacturers make a traditional size 8 or 10 then label it a 2 or a 4 to make it more appealing to buy. I dunno.

Regardless - men love women. They love all the leanness of a "skinny" woman and now, even that nice round a** on a voluptuous woman.

Men find confidence sexy I think.

IMO, size 8 is just "getting there"..... and, yes, I shop with my wife for clothing and know how crazy sizing runs these days, in everything....

All men are different in their preferences for physicality so there is no rule. Personally, I like women a bit more curvy and a pear. Other men may indeed prefer a size 0-2. Good on them :)

Wishful thinking.

I kind of agree with you. I do think men find a confident woman more sexy than an insecure woman, in terms of emotional attraction (except some men who are ****ed up), but I don't think confidence translates into physical attraction.

Personality can, through smiling and animation, but that's not even directly related to confidence. Put-together can, through the way you choose to emphasize your features, but that's not directly related to confidence.

But mostly, in terms of size, you are what you are, and your attitiude about it doesn't change whether someone finds it attractive or not.

Depends on her height; a size 8 on a woman who's 5'2" is very different than a size 8 on a woman who's 5'10"

 0, 1. Just like the thread topic.

I can't imagine a woman who's 5'8" to 5'10", being a size 0. While I'm sure there are some, that can't be healthy. Size 8 is pretty standard for someone that tall, reliant on age.

In reality, there are a FEW men who are all hardcore on size and are all about a woman who is as skinny as possible.

Most men don't care. The big debate is how she appears and carries herself. She could be a size 8 (whatever that means), but look amazing.

What most men do not want is this.

You could have some curvature, but if you wear the right clothes, have the right hair, carry yourself in a sexy way...many men won't notice what size you are.

Seen women who complain, but they were as big as a cow, chopped their hair down to a "guy cut" and dress shabby. How can they expect to attract a man physically when they pretty much do things to make themselves look less like a lady and more like a troll?

Same goes for men. You can catch more women with good grooming, the right clothes, and hair done nice, than you can with shabby clothes and an "i don't care" attitude.

8-12 are perfect for me any less seems too skinny, no curves and over 12 I start to worry about fitness. But I have seen plenty of sexy women at 14 and 16 if they have the right proportions and dress well.

I should add something of value to this post.... Size 8 is sooooo general size 8 on someone who is 4'6" = fat, size 8 on someone who is 5'6" = average

So to answer the OP's question yes a size 8 on certain people can be fat.

U.K. sizes are smaller than U.S. sizes. A size 12 U.K. is equivalent to a size 10 U.S.

Thanks for the clarification. I now know more than I need to about women's clothing.

Personally, I think she would look even better with a few more lbs.

This woman is a size 12 apparently:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1025639/Size-12-woman-told-big-model-agencies-compete-Miss-England-title.html

She looks perfectly healthy to me. Nicely shaped.

That woman is NOT a US size 12!

http://www.doctors-choice-hgh-human-growth-hormone.com/Karin-ba.jpg Here is a picture of a woman, first at a size 12 than a size 6 that I feel is accurate.

And I know that height obviously matters but if you unfold and take a look at a size 8 pair of pants they are a bit large, so a size 8 woman, unless she has wide hips must carry some weight to fill them.

I gained weight at the end of college and I was waring a size 6 in women sizes or 7 in teens, I was too chubby! I had a little excess fat on me.

This is me, size 8, average height (5'5").

If by "carrying some weight" you mean that an 8 has some curvage, then ok. other than that, I don't think of an 8 as "carrying some weight". Again, that depends on height though.

You look beautiful and faaaaar from fat in that picture. Do you have larger hips? I can't tell from the picture.

What I mean by some weight is that the volume of the pants has to be filled by something. And to me/on me the circumference of size 8 pants isn't that small.

I am 5'4. When I was a size 6/7 I had extra fat sitting on my hips (and all over) that accounted for the bigger size, as in pants didn't rest on my hips they hugged the fat on my hips. I also had insanely huge boobs and my face looked chubby.

I think i have a nice shape to my body, but I also have a small frame. On me a 7 means that a have a bit too much cushion all over.

I'm not trying to put anyone down. I also don't think that this http://entimg.msn.com/i/gal/Undressed717/LaraFlynnBoyle_300x435.jpg is what women should look like, I'm just sharing my opinion, based on my experience.
