do men find size 8 on a woman fat?

 I'm getting more confused the more pictures I see.

I think some nude photos of women (or maybe women in bikinis) of different sizes side by side might help solve this controversy once and for all. :D

That woman is NOT a US size 12!

A good friend of mine is a size 12-14 and she looks just like that.

http://www.doctors-choice-hgh-human-growth-hormone.com/Karin-ba.jpg Here is a picture of a woman, first at a size 12 than a size 6 that I feel is accurate.

That woman is most definitely NOT a size 12. She's a 16+.

And I know that height obviously matters but if you unfold and take a look at a size 8 pair of pants they are a bit large, so a size 8 woman, unless she has wide hips must carry some weight to fill them.

Funny. I'm a comfortable size 8 in pants and dresses, a 6 in skirts. I hold up a pair of 6 pants to a size 8 pant (same designer, style) and there's about a centimeter difference in the waistband. You make a size 8 sound large and in charge or something, when given your own picture above she'd be just a wee bit bigger than the girl in the dress.

This is me, size 8, average height (5'5").

If by "carrying some weight" you mean that an 8 has some curvage, then ok. other than that, I don't think of an 8 as "carrying some weight". Again, that depends on height though.

I think you look GREAT. :bunny:

my hips are definitely wider than my waist, and my thighs are not scrawny by any means. So, I do fill out my size 8s nicely. ;)

Ok, but personally I don't think many size 8 women irl look like that. It's just my opinion.

my hips are definitely wider than my waist

This is true for 99% of women.

Again, I think you look great. But I think many size 8 women will have excess fat.

I weight more then I ever have and men have been hitting on me a lot more then they ever have. (I went from a size 6 to a 10). And yes, some of them are hot. I can even tell that I look sexier at this weight. Still wanna lose the pounds though, how crazy is that?!

But to the OP, maybe it's the guys you're attracted to who like skinny girls.

I disagree. That's exactly what my figure looks like - but with bigger boobs. But boobs don't affect pant size. :)

My BFF is a 10. Another good friend of mine is an 8. Another one is a 12-14, like I said. None have excess fat - all very fit.

On the other hand, my roommate is a size 4-6 and jiggles as if she were obese.

It's all relative.

I totally agree, K. I get more attention from men at a size 8 than I ever did at a size 4. Still, I get excited when I can fit into my 6's. Damn holidays.

I can't wait to be a size 8 again. The one advantage to being a size 8? Clothes shopping is easier. That or I don't know how to dress my curvier self.

Re: holidays, I'm joining a gym in my hometown while I'm there.

I'm a zero or 2, depending on the brand of clothing, and I'm too skinny--under 100Ibs at 5'4. Without a doubt, guys found me more attractive when I was a size 4 and around 105 Ibs.

Again...it's not about the number when it comes to men. Just how you look and carry yourself.

You could be a size 60 for all we care...if you look hot and carry yourself well, then we'll be into you.

We're not going to check the tags on your clothes when we meet you. Just basically bear in mind if you look like the photo I posted, then guys will reject. Just in the same as men of that size get rejected by women.

I don't care who wants to cry "shallow!" People aren't into visible obesity.

Most men have no idea what size is what. You'd be better off stating your height and weight.

actually men dont get that either :lmao:

it seems like size 0 is the only desireable size. Is size 8 considered as too fat or pudgy?

I don't know what size 8 is. Can you post a link to a picture of a woman that looks like a size 8?

Really, wow. I wear 0 in most and 2 in a couple brands. I have an hourglass shape although I'm thin. It's interesting how similar weights wear different sizes too. I'm definitely "fleshier" than a lot of girls my weight would be, not jiggly at all, just not muscular.

At 105 Ibs I look distinctly curvy, again because I'm an hourglass. I'm all boobs and butt, LOL.

I am not trying to judge either, but 8 is below average in the US, and most of my friends are 8/10s and look great. I also work out 5x/week, so I don't have much excess fat, just muscular legs and slightly curvy hips. (I was a dancer, always had muscular thighs)

That is the beauty of people.. we come in all shapes, sizes, and consistencies. BMI is a more true measure of body fat, not pant/dress size.

I couldn't be a 0 if I tried because it just isn't how I was built, but it has nothing to do with fat or thin.

ANd all that is besides the point because beauty really does come in different shapes and sizes. It's a matter of how you show your confidence and that you don't care what people think. I think that truly makes a woman attractive. If you rock what you have (barring obesity, of course), you will get noticed and be irresistible.

no a uk size 12 is a US size 8

Here's a chart showing the size differences.

http://goeurope.about.com/cs/shopping/l/bl_clothes_size.htm

US 10 = UK 12

http://reviews.ebay.com/Size-conversion-chart-for-US-UK-EUROPEAN-clothing-shoes_W0QQugidZ10000000002181633

Another from ebay:

US 10 = UK 12

I have recently read that it's 4 sizes but I think that's inaccurate.

I didn't have a reference, so I googled size 8 and looked at some pictures. It is not fat at all.

I know women are crazy about this, but dress size or weight don't matter as long as she wears her weight well.

It's all subjective, everyone is different. I have strange tastes. I see a lot of gorgeous women in my profession.

Now my last LTR, my girlfriend was a size 0, 5"3, 104lbs. But that ass... I swear I still can't figure out how she was a 0 with it! Hah.

But on the opposite end, I don't like too thin. Seeing ribs disgusts me, so there has to be a nice balance. But with too chubby, not only does it turn me off, but I also form an opinion that the person doesn't care about themself and just "let themselves go" (barring a medical condition, which is very rare.
