do men find size 8 on a woman fat?

I think you'd be better off stating your height and weight for the purpose of guys' feedback (since guys dont really know what a size 8 looks like). But, being a girl, I can provide something for you :)

I am 5'9" and weigh 138 lbs and depending on the clothes, I can fit into a 5/6 or 7/8. While I am slender, I have a little meat to distribute. Personally, I think guys like a girl with a lil sum to grab on. I'd say an 8 isnt fat. BUT, it also depends on your height. If you're overly short, and 8 might as well be considered fat or "pudgy."

Also, you might try to look at a chart depicting "ideal" weight for specific heights and ages.

Uh, if thats a size 8, I don't see the problem. hell, someone with a little more meat on their bones is still eye candy to me.

Alot of the women I have been attracted to were probably considered about 20 pounds overweight. Not because I specifically like that, but it was their other qualities I liked and the extra pounds didn't make them less attractive to me.

The size 14 woman in that pic was damn nice looking too. So a size 8 is attractive, but so is a size 14!!!

The 12 doesn't look like a 12 at ALL. She must be really tall. The 14 looks like what I'd expect it to though.

I agree. I believe those are extreme and exaggerated examples.

I am around a size 0-2, and I am 5'8" and about 110 lbs. However I have decent hip-age and my boobs are a 32C, so I'm not totally lacking in curves. But when I get skinnier than I am now (and I used to be), I feel like my curves just melt. My boobs get smaller and I just don't look as good in clothing. I feel very comfortable with the weight I am at and get approached by many guys, however I have friends larger than me who get approached just as often. ;]

I think everyone has different tastes, and as long as you are not in the realm of obesity, there will be people who find you attractive. As others said, if you take good care of the rest of your appearance (hair, skin, clothing, etc), how skinny you are seems to not matter much to guys (again, unless you are pushing obesity).

That's funny. If you piece together the legs on the left, the waist/hips in the middle, and the boobs on the right, you've got my figure. And again, I'm a size 8.

I think I look pretty damn good too.

Weird - I've got the legs and chest of the girl on the right with the waist of the girl in the middle and *I* am a size 8 in TROUSERS. My breasts are too large to fit in most 8 blouses but I can squeeze into some size 8 dresses. It depends on the designer. I can wear a Talbots 8 but not a Gap 8. Yves St. Laurent and Ann Taylor 8s are fine on me.

And I'm told that I'm pretty hot -- even at 44!

I don't think anyone should ever go by "sizing"... pay attention to how people wear their weight!

I am 5'8, about 115lbs at the moment because I am working a physical job with long days. I dropped 6 pounds in two weeks from all the work. I have had two men tell me I could use some meat on me recently. I am wearing size 2 and wearing 25 waisted jeans. I think I look better in a 27 waist.

I think men enjoy a little meat on a woman. Currently I am a bit boney- but still have some curves. When I was 105 lbs- people told me I looked like a 12 year old boy with long blonde hair.

A standard size 8 is a great size. It's about proportion- pay no attention to sizes.

I don't think a guy would find a size 8 fat. You don't see guys picking up a Vogue magazine and drooling over the clothing models (size 0 and under). You see them picking up a Maxim and digging the 6-8 size women, or King and digging the round bottomed 8-12 set.

I am totally confused. I buy pants size 2, I am 5'6", about 130-135 lbs right now and I must lose at least 10 lbs of fat before I put some summer clothes on this Christmas (in FLA). I don't have wide bones, but I have fat and couldn't wear a mini skirt unless I lose tenish pounds. I think I would look like a cow if I grew up to size 8, and yet the women on the pictures (including Vixen) look great. What's the deal here?

5'8" to 5'10" and skinny is perfect!

size 8 is more like a shoe size or a medium pizza:p

.. or like a perfect penis size?

ok, exhibit B

As you can see, my thighs aren't scrawny. lol. I DO fill out those size 8's, and like that I do.

If I had skinny legs (which I never had, even as a very active child), I would never fit into an 8.

That is just to answer your question of "how"..

RP, I don't think there's that much of a correlation between size and weight. People have different body shapes and I think that accounts for most of the differences. The women in the pictures seem to be quite tall with an average bone structure, so that's why even the size 12 looks thin.

I would be a total cow at size 8 too, and borderline at size 6.

Also, women's clothes are sized VERY inconsistently from maker to maker. I wear a 0-00 at Gap while clothes at H&M, I sometimes have to wear a 2 or 4.

It's true about different makers have different sizing. My gap jeans are 6s, and I have others that are 8s or 10s. Those #'s just don't mean that much.

That size 8 is ridiculously HOT!

How about BMI?

BMI is one of the most useless numbers there is as it only calculates BF based on weight and height so if the weight you carry is muscle then it will be way off. %BF is relevent but you need to measure that directly not through the BMI calculation.

As an example my BMI is 26.3 which is considered overweight but my %BF is 16%. I cycle and my thighs are 28" which adds a lot of weight that is not fat.

I think using numbers only works at the extreme high and low end of the bell curve. In the center the variation of body type makes the number useless and anyway everyone has their own view of beauty.

Like most of the men, I have no idea what a certain size looks like, and even height/weight can only be used to get a general idea of how someone looks.

There are way too many things that will influence the "overall picture". There are different body types, different proportions, muscle vs. less muscle that will affect weight, etc..

While searching for sizes, height/weight pictures, I came across the following site. It's a photographic height/weight chart and there are different shapes despite having the same height and weight.

http://www.cockeyed.com/photos/bodies/heightweight.shtml

From the pictures of the women with a size 8 that have been posted, none of them is too fat, far from it in my opinion.

I like the woman with the size 14 best. As long as she keeps that bust-waist-hip ratio, I wouldn't mind if she were bigger.

The size 12 also looks great, the size 8 is not really my type.

I've been thinking about why more men approach me now (at a size 10) then when I was at a size 6. And I have to agree with the guys that it mostly isn't about my physical appearance (even though the weight gain has helped me balance out my bust-waist-hip ratio).

But my attitude about men has changed as a correlate to 'gaining' weight. Where I used to feel it was about impressing them, now I feel it's about getting to know them (individually). Basically, since I felt 'less attractive' for awhile, I didn't even bother with selling myself... which allowed me to be myself. To have normal, easy-going interactions with them.

...

I hope you girls understand, men have never reacted to me this way in the past. Like, I can literally see desire in their eyes. Or they'll visibly go out of their way to talk with me. And I'm not "hot" by any standard set in hollywood. I'm a student so I haven't been able to afford good clothes in months. I'm pretty, I'm relaxed, I like joking around/teasing. I just let go of all the extra pressure I was putting on myself to conform to some external norm of beauty... I stopped thinking landing a man is directly proportional to how hot I am (which, paradoxically, apparently makes me hot).

Exactly. I don't want a woman to look like a greyhound. Dog that is, not bus.

I could be wrong, but I think more men would be hot for the voluptuous pornstars over the skinny fashion models if we're talking in terms of body.

The fashion industry would call women like Carmella Bing and Olivia O'Lovely "fat", but I imagine many men would want women with bodies like that over let's say Kate Moss or Paris Hilton.

I could be wrong though.

You can be a bowl full of jelly and/or cellulite at size 0 and be a hardbody or toned at size 14. Women should focus on staying healthy.

Each guy will have his preference, as to bodyshape. There are even men out there that prefer the "heap big woman" or the anorexic woman. Whatever rocks your world.

Your post is ridiculously unnecessary and offensive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can judge myself. YOU cannot.

Bah, don't sweat that comment. I saw your pic before. you are hawt.
