TBF, I honestly think that you need therapy.. (I don,t know if you are in therapy right now, I don't read all your posts) but you seem to spend all your life on LS (I think you have the largest amount of posts per day)... and you seem to be obsessed with personality disorders of all kinds..

I am not saying this to be mean.. but this is my observation of what I'm reading here..

You seem to have personal problems lately and I have this feeling you are either avoiding to face them.. or it's an unconscious choice of threads (subjects) that reflects a very sad 'mal de vivre'...

Something just doesn't seem to go right... :o:confused:

Lizzie, I've been through therapy and been passed as emotionally healthy. If you believe that you know more than my therapist who is credentialled up the ying-yang with decades of field experience, then I think you should seriously consider doing it as an occupation.

I really am fed up with people making assumptions about me. Really sick of people making shyte up in their heads.

Ah, and now we come full-circle here...

I found this to be applicable to some threads posted on LS and some LS members. If this sounds familiar, then you or your loved one, might want to get a professional diagnosis, to confirm as such:

TBF, I can't believe you don't see what everyone else does. What are you doing???

Have you ever think that maybe some people are also fed up with you shyting on people's head all the time... we see what we see....

I see that you have serious problems that you don't want to admit or see.. We see it.. You've started 3 threads in a very short time.. about the same obsessions you have with personality disorders.. :o

Some people work online or go to school online. When I was doing the graduate program in LIS it was online and I was racking up 20-25 posts a day on LS. Sure my grades sucked but LS was a consuming distraction

I sometimes wonder if I have ADHD. Been diagnosed without it but I'm online because I work A LOT! I get bored when I do one thing at a time. LS helps me to stay focused on my work. :)

I can see that.. but when you're self-employed.. that's another story.. I post from work.. (gov't).. when I'm not busy... it hasn't been the case lately though.. :o

Plus if you work online or go to school online.. how can you spend all your time on a forum?...

I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing.. I was just saying.. sometimes people starts numerous threads when they are obsessed with some personal problems.. :o and it's OK.. as long as they admit they have issues.. not sure if I'm making myself understood.. anyway.... no big deal..

Don't worry.. be happy! :)

The information on LS about NPD, has greatly benefitted me. Perhaps more information about other Cluster B disorders will help other people. They are the relationship killers.

It's not an obsession, just an attempt to help. That people have construed it to be something else, just floors me.

How many LS'ers does it take to change a lightbulb?

One to change the lightbulb

One to avoid changing the lightbulb

One to diagnose lightbulb avoidance personality disorder

Fourteen to argue that it is/isn't lightbulb avoidance personality disorder

Three to complain that the lightbulb didn't call them back

Twenty two to go into therapy over the lightbulb changing incident

I find it troubling that you're shutting down her down by immediately dismissing her opinion as a personal gripe. Isn't it possible that she has both a personal bias and there's also some truth to her observations? I agree with her that you seem to have difficulty owning up to your own personal shortcomings despite your tendency to dissect the problems of others.

I'll admit upfront that I have personal bias, as I've been irritated by some of your past posts on the board, though I don't hate you by any means. But doesn't it make sense to have an irritated reaction to somebody whose personal conduct you disagree with, especially when you detect some whiff of hypocrisy?

Many people on this board own up to their problems, which is why they're able to embark on a path of change. But you seem especially inflexible to doing this.

I guess I'm asking you -- are you aware that you have difficulty taking criticism, and this is something you might want to work on as an individual in the same spirit of self-improvement you advocate for others?

I saw the same thing. And I found it interesting that, rather than answer your questions, just as in Taramere's situation, you were lashed out at on a personal level. Very telling.

:lmao:

Perception really is reality for some people, especially the manipulative and insecure type.

Not to worry, you'll find out what's truth soon enough. ;)
