Generic Username
A new girl started a few months ago at my job, and lately I been noticing her and something just struck me like crazy, but I have this full on high schoolish anxiety every time I see her alone now.. I just hit a funk and can't seem to shake it. I honestly haven't felt this way since.. well high school. I feel like it's something about the work environment, that if I saw her outside work I'd be okay.. but that I'm not even sure about. I think what freaks me out is that I'm getting those vibes from her. I've always tended to go for girls I was neutral with to start.. as in slight attraction but more of a "brother/sister" kind of chemistry. No butterflies or excitement.. but comfort. Honestly I haven't gotten over these fears as I always dated ones I wasn't really into and let my interest build up over time. But I never went through with someone I had a huge attraction from the start before getting to know..
littleShyGuy
I had the same problem. The best ice-breaker is just to say Hi. Ask her something work related and tell her you name and that you didn't catch hers. Let it go from there.
Shnuggles
Here's an idea.. If you have a bunch of work friends, ask her if she would like to have lunch with a bunch of you (or friendly drinkies after work). Make friends with her by asking questions over lunch and pay attention. If she doesn't seem to enjoy talking to you then don't take it any further. My 2 cents.
