monkey00
This recurring theme has popped into my head multiple times throughout my life. But in many ways it has been difficult for me to grasp the factors and outcomes of negative and positive influences. Over the years I've changed a lot and grown as a person over the years. I think mainly because I've always been open-minded and maybe the possibility of subconsciously being influenced my individuals who assumed things or judged me in an unnatural light. Sometimes I ponder to myself why we challenge ourselves to grow when people expect more of you or think highly of you? Or what causes us to be complacent and not challenge? It's no secret that we get back as much as we put into life. But in what form or shape of reward does it or should it be so we can continue reaping it? Why do we do the things we do? Do we have more control and direction over ourselves or do others have more control over us? Prophets you may even call them..perhaps?
You'reasian
People are driven towards pleasure and away from pain. They make decisions and behave in a way to move away from unnecessary pain - but are sometimes forced to deal with delayed pleasure in exchange for a pain for a limited time at the moment. How successful these decisions are carried out depends not on acting on our internal and external motivation; success also depends on the catalytic effect of other people as well - key decision makers, peer support, familial support etc. No U.S. President has one the election without the support of others and based on his own merits 'just because'
