Date or not?

So the girl I like and I are going to go see a movie (just us 2) in a few days. Now she knows that I like her a lot, and she was the one who asked me if I wanted to see the movie with her (we had been planning to see something for ages though). So what I'm unsure of is if this is meant to be a date or not. I'm not sure if I should pay the movie ticket for her (like a guy does on a date). I'm also a bit scared to ask her if she is viewing this outing as a date, as I don't want to cause awkwardness in our friendship if i got the wrong idea. She is one of my very good friends and we have known each other for a very long time.

 

She turned me down before when I had told her that I liked her, but this was a long time ago, and I don't think either of us was ready for a relationship at this stage. So I know that sometimes people's feelings change over time, but I'm not sure what the actual odds are of it happening are. I'm not really sure how to act on this outing, should I observe her actions to see if she is into me? Maybe I should just bite the bullet and put my arm around her in the theatre. Her friendship means a lot to me, and she has been a significant part of my life, we literally spend hours and hours on msn each night talking into the wee hours of the morning and I enjoy these convos very much.

 

Alas though, we have never really discussed mine or hers romantic feelings, so I'm unsure of where I stand, but I just don't want to come off as a retard who can't take hints that someone is not into you.

Nobody answered your post before because, only your experience and the time you to go out together is the one which tells you, where you are standing.

I mean, if she likes you...she'll be obvious.

If she doesn't, she'll be obvious.

But if you are the boy and are doubting is it a date or not...pay. got nothing to lose if you pay.
