Iamhappy
Maybe it's the medicine kicking in, but I'm beginning to realize just how miserable my life was with the ex-jackass. I am happy. For the first time in a really long time I am glad to be alive. The funny thing is I don't know what to do about it. I'm so used to pain. How do I deal with this?
moimeme
Enjoy. Bask. Soak it up. Treasure every second of it. Life is not pain-free and doubtless you'll have pain again so revel in every moment of the happiness you feel - and spread it to others where you can.
Author Iamhappy
Thank you, moimeme. I will enjoy it. It's so odd to know pain and hurt so well, but barely recognize happiness as it occurs.
Tony T
There are actually some people so used to being hurt and depressed that they get anxious when they feel good. Congratulations on your new found happiness. Take charge of your life and make sure you don't allow anybody to interfere with its longevity.
2SidestoStories
Whether the meds or divine intervention or whatever...CONGRATULATIONS! Know that you're supported in your happiness as much if not more so than while you were sad. Wonderful news! I wish you the best at maintaining the happy feelings. Obviously, you can do it! EnigmaXOXO
There are actually some people so used to being hurt and depressed that they get anxious when they feel good. So true! Like constantly looking over your shoulder and waiting for that devine voice to come rumbling down from the clouds proclaiming: "Ha Ha!...I was just kidding!" So, so many of us haven't experienced "true" happiness until we finally learn to let go of those people and things in our life we once thought were so important. It's like having 100 pounds lifted off of your shoulders, and for the first time, you feel light enough to fly! Hang on to that feeling, and don't let anything or anyone drag you back down again! And if its the meds.....PLEASE SHARE!!
